Regarding 2001:16a2:c8a0:dc00::/64[edit]
You globally blocked this one for two weeks on 2023-01-02, but the block may need to be widened at some point. They have been on 2001:16a2:c800::/40 (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • GUC • CA) since March 2021, and they have access to the entire range. They first began by disrupting arwiki, before expanding it further to commons, enwiki, wikidata, simplewiki, wiktionary etc. Most edits have been reverted, and it looks to be almost entirely this person on the range. They act like they're a new user (e.g. using summaries like "where is the teahouse?", whilst blanking pages), but this is clearly a case of long-term abuse accross multiple wikis. They have recently started to target small wikis with few (or no) active local sysops. Mako001 (C) (T) 🇺🇦 04:46, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Mako001: I'm not sure about globally blocking 2001:16a2:c800::/40 xwiki-contribs • ST • IP info • WHOIS • robtex • gblock • glist • abuselog • bullseye due to possible collateral damage. For now, the global block on 2001:16a2:c8a0:dc00::/64 xwiki-contribs • ST • IP info • WHOIS • robtex • gblock • glist • abuselog • bullseye seems to have managed it. If that vandal comes back, or you think a global block on a wider range is necessary, you may file a request on SRG, and a steward, possibly myself, will review it. Thanks for reporting. - While you're here, could you take a look at whether it would be worth gblocking 2600:100D:B100:0:0:0:0:0/40 xwiki-contribs • ST • IP info • WHOIS • robtex • gblock • glist • abuselog • bullseye? Long term cross wiki abuse. Also has a similar ability to rangehop. They switched from one /44 to another a few hours ago, and has been on 3 separate /44s in the last 24 hours. The /40 was locally blocked for 1 year on en.wiki (after about 10 prior blocks ranging from 1 week to 3 months), but that seems to have just pushed them onto everywhere else, and they're now messing about with smaller wikis. HideButtonsFromNonGsProjects.js / vector-2022[edit]
Hello Elton,
Could your script HideButtonsFromNonGsProjects.js be updated to work with vector-2022? — xaosflux Talk 19:22, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Xaosflux: Sure. This should do the trick, though as of today the "buttons become red" part only works with MoreMenu. Please let me know if there are issues, and let me state this: any steward/interface admin should feel free to edit the script on my userspace (if it stays here) for improvements/bug fixes. Hope it helps. Best regards, — Elton (talk) 15:07, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
