Editor sanction noticeboard

[edit]

Thanks for endorsing the editor sanction noticeboard/help desk idea, but I'm concerned. Because the text of your endorsement refers solely to the subject from which you were banned, people might think you only want this venue so that you can rehash article content. If you could say how you feel that a noticeboard or help desk would have improved procedure, prevented admin overload or removed disruption, that would be good. Was there evidence that you never got to present? Were you sidelined by rules that you didn't know about ahead of time? Did lack of transparency make it hard to comply with your restriction? From the wording of Kd3qc's endorsement, it seems to me that he or she did not actually get topic banned, but was merely rebuffed. That is not what the proposed editor sanction noticeboard would be for - such matters should be raised at another, existing venue, such as Third Opinion.--Greenrd (talk) 19:17, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

RfC notice: Designated space for editors to give and seek advice about topic bans and other sanctions

[edit]

You are being contacted because you commented on the proposal for a designated space in which users, including topic-banned and other sanctioned users, could ask questions and seek information about topic bans and other sanctions, "IdeaLab/Area for topic banned editors to talk freely about their ban, e.g. to ask questions of experienced wikipedians." There is now an RfC in progress concerning this proposal. Your participation is welcome. Darkfrog24 (talk) 03:27, 24 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
