Question

[edit]

Hello~I cannot find the French Wikipedia Asian Month 2020 Fountain pages. Could you help me?--KOKUYO (talk) 18:09, 25 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi KOKUYO : @Daxipedia: takes care of this step of setting up the pages necessary for the launch Asian Month 2020; the button for the Fountain tool is visible but is currently spinning in a vacuum. - Best regards, --Pierre André Leclercq (talk) 22:19, 25 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
We found that some Fountain pages cannot be displayed properly (like Finnish Wikipedia, Bulgarian Wikipedia, etc.), and contacted Le Loi (the tool developer) for this question. He says these pages haven't been created or approved yet.
The French Wikipedia Asian Month Fountain pages need admin (from French Wikipedia) to go to their profile (chick their name at top of the page), select "approval" and approve the editahon. (like this) This change is to prevent creation of vandal editahon with attacks in the title.
I hope this information will help you. If you have any question, please tell me . --KOKUYO (talk) 08:50, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi KOKUYO, thank you for your information, I am not an administrator (of French Wikipedia). So I contacted the person in charge of Communication and Events WMFr, to inform her that Daxipedia was piloting the project, and that the pages of the fountain of the Asian month of Wikipedia in French had to be validated by an administrator (from French Wikipedia). Best regards, --Pierre André Leclercq (talk) 10:42, 26 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hello @KOKUYO:
I'm surprised of this procedure, I did not encountered it since the first WAM ruled by the Fountain tool, and do not remember that the fr.wiki admins had to be involved in the approval of the tool.
As it's never too late to learn, I'll give a try tomorrow evening.
Thanks for the information given here and on my user talk page.

Guidance of Fountain tool

[edit]

Dear organizers,

Here is a guidance of Fountain tool. If you are wondering how to create an editathon on fountain or want to check the editathon be created or not before WAM start, please feel free to have a look.

Looking forward to meeting you online soon.

WAM International team 2020.10

@KOKUYO: Thank you for your information. It turns out that the new procedure requires that the administrators of fr.wiki (which I am not), must be involved in the approval of the tool. I have never encountered this procedure since the first WAM governed by the Fountain tool. So I asked fr.wiki to see this problem. Best regards,--Pierre André Leclercq (talk) 21:56, 27 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry about this....I created this tutorial too late, and make many partners (incloud you and Daxipedia) have trouble.--KOKUYO (talk) 02:37, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@KOKUYO: Don't be sorry, it was just that we were used to have the tool "created by its own" on previous years.
By the way, the French tool is now functional, it was very easy, the tutorial was perfect - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (d) 06:05, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Asian Month 2020: Fountain tool

[edit]

Dear organizers:

Fountain cannot accept new articles temporarily because of a problem with the Wikimedia Labs database. It will be back ASAP. Please don’t feel panic. Let's keep fingers crossed for it.

Best,

Wikipedia Asian Month International Team, 2020.11

Thank you KOKUYO for this information. I register that Fountain can no longer accept new articles due to a problem with the Wikimedia Labs database. I keep my fingers crossed for it to be fixed as soon as possible. Best regards --Pierre André Leclercq (talk) 23:04, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
