About your vote in eo.wikt...

Hello SHB2000,
about your vote (diff) in eo.wikt. Unfortunately, I did not find the word apols (translate) in the dictionaries... is this some kind of neologism? Also, when using different national languages within eo.wikt, it may be useful to use the template wikt:eo:Template:ttion there.

You have only read one message. Unfortunately, this is not a single event, but a whole chain of events. And these ads are written only for cases when the number of damages is in the hundreds or even thousands in one day. Such information corruption occurred both before the message where you voted, and occur after: (translate)

Smaller or technical issues simply don't make it into the talks. For example, the fact that the Taylorbot does not distinguish between page namespaces during processing and performs primitive string replacements both for dictionary pages and within templates or personal discussion pages. (translate)
And with just one message, I did not try to convince anyone. In order to be convinced of something, it is necessary that an independent person with administrator experience and administrator rights independently analyze the actions taking place within the framework of this project. (translate)
But I cite links to the protocols in the message, and the specialist should analyze the protocols, and not "the words that I wrote." (translate)
That's it you, as a person with experience as an administrator, autopatroller and rollbacker, could perform an analysis and express your opinion. I found only about 5000 introduced errors or destruction of information. But I've only been actively involved in the project since last September, and I might just not have seen other important issues. (translate) It may well turn out that "this heading" is not "overexaggerated", but very understated. (translate) Va (🖋️) 10:00, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

(#Allcaps)
apols = a shortened form of "apologies". But please don't deny the fact that adding Warning! New case of automatic mass destruction is not an overly exaggerated form and is probably just as exaggerated as WARNING! NEW CASE OF AUTOMATIC MASS DESTRUCTION in all caps. Unfortunately, what you've been saying seems to contradict what @Taylor 49: says. SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 10:05, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
All caps? Where? I've provided links for you - you can just look it up for yourself.
I didn't use caps letters. Although there are already reasons for this - the amount of destruction is already so high that even caps letters do not seem to be an overly exaggerated form. But I still haven't used them.
Yes, I used the word "Attention!". Is this a problem or is this word banned as a swear word? And how then to attract attention without the word "attention"?
Yes, I used the term "new case" because before this case there were already deletions of articles in a way that is contrary to the technical norms of the project. An entire RFC is dedicated to this. And there were massive changes with a consequence - the loss of information. And such changes are massive - it will take a week to manually restore even 500 articles, although the bot makes these breakdowns in just a couple of hours...
No need to compare who and what said. Just compare protocols.
And here the problem is not in the program itself, which is used for the bot. These are the conscious actions of the bot owner. In addition to actions with the help of a bot, there are also direct actions.
For example, here are the protocols for one of the pages. The page is marked as "Stub":
  1. diff
  2. diff
  3. diff
And here is a longer example on another page:
  1. diff
  2. diff
  3. diff
  4. diff
  5. diff
  6. diff
  7. diff
  8. diff
  9. diff
  10. diff
  11. diff
What conclusion can you draw from these protocols? Va (🖋️) 14:42, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
  • apols = apologies
  • some of the pages you complain about are pirated
  • Taylorbot does distinguish between page namespaces
  • Taylorbot sometimes leaves behind incomplete work that can be further tuned manually or by same or other bot
  • Further details about the last "destruction" (2022-01-16) are explained at eowikt. Taylor 49 (talk) 14:53, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
An accusation without evidence. "Some pages" you use as an excuse to perform destructive actions, even where there can be no claims at all.
5*24 (five days) after your mass actions there were errors until I found them. This is only on your last mass change without discussion and consent of others.
And now, even when the error is obvious, you invent ways to refuse to correct your actions. That is the point of your explanation. Va (🖋️) 17:50, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Your "11. diff" : [1] pirated from [2]. Taylor 49 (talk) 18:03, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Vami, when did I accuse you of typing in ALL CAPS. I just mentioned that using "Warning! New case of automatic mass destruction" is probably just as bad as typing it in ALL CAPS.
So, may I quote your own sentence "an accusation without evidence" against you.
And as @Taylor 49 already mentioned, some of the pages are copyrighted. I generally have no objections in deleting copyvios and the fact you seem to be denying the copyvios does not help. SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 23:26, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
Forgive my {{Babel|en-0}}, but that's how I understood #Allcaps with the help of an automatic translator - that there is an example where I wrote something in allcaps and this is exactly what is an exaggeration. Well, you could also use the "title" parameter in the {{xt}} template, for example WARNING! NEW CASE OF AUTOMATIC MASS DESTRUCTION... And I'm sorry I added an anchor to your line.

Regarding my specific title. As I already wrote, how then to attract attention without the word "attention" (or warning without "warning")?
If there was a destruction of information that requires some action to restore, then what word should I use instead of the word "destruction"?
If an event applies to many pages, is it a mass or non-mass event? From what quantity can I use the word "mass"? Starting from 10 or only from 100? Well then, for the case when more than 500 pages were affected, the word "mass" was applied justifiably.
The word "new". Before the event described, there were other similar events. What word should I use instead of "new" in this case?
So, all the words from the list "attention, new, massive, destruction" I described. Only the words "of" and "automatic" remained. If the action is done by a bot, then what action can it be, other than "automatic"?
And "of" is generally a preposition, its use is regulated by the grammar of the language, and in each language the relationship between the objects of speech is organized according to its own rules. In this case, it is English grammar. My original text uses a different grammar and uses the preposition "de" to construct the genitive.

The question of quantity - this can be checked according to the protocols. The performer of the action - this can be checked by the protocols. The question of the presence of previous similar events - this can be checked according to the protocols and other announcements on the talk page. So, what is "overly exaggerated" - are changelogs? Va (🖋️) 07:40, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
About sentence "an accusation without evidence" against me.
The page is marked as "Stub":
  1. diff
  2. diff
  3. diff
The page has links to Wikipedia and some other internet sources about the word. Has a declension table for the word. And mark of stub for future processing.
This content was present at the time of all three total content removals. All three of these complete removals of content are marked "piratkopiita" - pirated (stolen, illegally copied, etc.). Which of the following items is pirated or even suspected of being pirated?
That is precisely the fact. The fact, that mark "piratkopiita" is "an accusation without evidence".
If I described a fact that is confirmed by the protocols, then this is not my opinion. Now use it against me. Use against me the fact that I described a fact confirmed by the protocols... Va (🖋️) 09:17, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Your "11. diff" : [3] pirated from [4]. We had discussed this 17'000'000 times before. Please leave me and SHB2000 in peace now. Taylor 49 (talk) 23:07, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Taylor has very much explained why I've dropped out of this discussion. I'm just going to just close it off because I'm not going to give you a lecture on why copyvios are not allowed. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 23:10, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Your questionable removal of babel boxes from other users' user pages

It has been brought to my attention that you have been removing babel boxes and other visual elements from other users' user pages, including my own. I must remind you that:

  1. A babel box is an established construct on many Wikimedia projects and an explicitly permitted (sometimes encouraged) design element on user pages.
  2. Per w:wp:NOBAN policy, you should not be making substantial edits (such as removing babel boxes) to other users' user pages without prior discussion and approval.

To avoid further reputation damage, it is advised that you restore the removed content from all affected user pages as soon as possible. ArticCynda (talk) ArticCynda (talk) 12:30, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

You already know why it was removed. Not going to repond to your trolling. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 12:33, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
User:SHB2000, other users pointing out your violations of formal policies such as w:wp:NOBAN is not "trolling". Policies are the result of a community consensus. What makes you think they don't apply to you? ArticCynda (talk)
Wikipedia policies do not apply on Wikivoyage. Guidelines can be used, but this is not. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 13:04, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
A rather hypocritical point of view for someone who routinely uses w:wp:duck, another Wikipedia policy that doesn't apply on Wikivoyage, as an excuse to avoid engaging in a meaningful dialogue with peers on that project. It appears you have an appetite for cherry-picking only those policies that are helpful to your adverse endeavours. ArticCynda (talk) 01:24, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
w:WP:DUCK is a guideline, not a policy and I have used it in accordance with voy:Wikivoyage:CheckUser#Sockpuppets. w:WP:NOBAN is, and therefore it does not apply on Wikivoyage. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 09:59, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi all!

The community vote of this year's Board Elections are close. As always voter mails will be sent out. To invite as many community members as possible in their native tongue your help is very much appreciated. While there are already plenty of translations we would appreciate you to check for languages still missing and to contribute translations for these.

The mails are short, just a bit about two times 200 words, a few minutes of work.

Your support is very important as it helps communities to learn about the election and to cast their vote.

Best, Denis Barthel (WMF)

(Movement Strategy and Governance)
