Discussion involving an office action
Please see this discussion, the community had no say in how this was handled. --Donald Trung (Talk 🤳🏻) (My global lock 🔒) (My global unlock 🔓) 16:47, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- All office actions are taken by the WMF at its own discretion for reasons that can not be disclosed to the public. According to policy all global bans are unappealable. There will be no further discussion on this matter unless someone from the WMF says otherwise --Sau226 (talk) 11:31, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Thank you
It recently came into my attention that you've globally banned [this user] who was based in az.wiki. I came across this user's destructive activities in az.wiki back in 2010 and reported about it [here] but no action was taken...Instead that user blocked me indefinitely from az.wiki. I just wanted to say thank you for finally seeing what I saw back then. Better late than never. --Gulmammad (talk) 18:15, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
Suggestion
Hello. With regards to your recent rights changes on other users of 29 November I don't think it is wise to paint a bullseye on those user accounts, revealing to the whole public that they do not have 2FA enabled, even more considering that there's no on-wiki user group able to know if an user has or has not 2FA enabled nor an on-wiki special page for that exists; and that the only way is to access such information is by running query to the production databases. It is my understanding that such information is highly private for a reason. My advice would be for whoever performs this kind of right changes in the future to please use other wording, pointing them e.g. to contact the Office if they do not know why that is happening, even if it might be cryptic for most of us. Thank you, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 10:46, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
