What is the main goal of your project?
  • The main goal of our project is to organize a follow-up event to the HERitage Amplified initiative, targeting Turkish Cypriots and aiming to foster further engagement, collaboration, and cultural diversity. There was a specific request from TC participants at our last event to have a continuation with their support at the Buffer Zone.
Describe which activities you plan to implement
  • We plan to:
  1. Host a half-day event in the Buffer Zone, accessible to both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots
  2. Facilitate discussions on gender equality, digital literacy, and Wikipedia editing
  3. Conduct training sessions on Wikipedia editing techniques
  4. Provide networking opportunities for participants to connect and collaborate.

  • The project is relevant to Wikigap. It is relevant to the Cypriot community, particularly Turkish Cypriots, and anyone interested in promoting cultural diversity and gender equality on Wikimedia platforms. Our target group includes Turkish Cypriots interested in Wikipedia editing, gender equality advocates, students, educators.
