Commons workshop in Vienna

  • in a nutshell: the 19th Commons/Wikipedia photography workshop, first time in Austria (Vienna), dedicated to the digital darkroom, the software used to develop, edit, improve and organise digital photos
  • volunteer organizers: Ralf Roleček, Daniela Kloth
  • what we contributed to this activity: providing our office and technical infrastructure for the event, part of the travel expenses refund and coordination with Wikimedia Deutschland, booking the hotel for the international participants, accompanying evening activities

Wikipedia for Peace Stockholm EuroPride

  • in a nutshell: spin-off of our international Wikipedia for Peace workcamps, focus on queer topics and coverage of the pride parade with activits and members from marginalized queer communities from Europe, Russia and North Africa
  • volunteer organizers: Shikeishu, Sparrow (麻雀)
  • what we contributed to this activity: financial support, travel for Austrian participants, scholarships for participants from Russia and North Africa, travel booking (flights)

  • diversity The number of unique participants and/or organizers who belong to underrepresented groups in the Wikimedia movement in Austria. These groups are defined as women, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, persons belonging to ethnic, language or religious minorities in Austria, foreigners and people with disabilities.: 11 (female, non-binary, queer)
