A peace project in Stockholm from August 3rd to August 6th 2018!

We want to participate in the EuroPride 2018 in Stockholm, as there is more content needed concerning LGBT activists and related issues on Wikipedia. We will be able to take part in the parade of Europride in 2018 and also in the human rights summit at Europride Stockholm.

You can register for the event at [1] so we can track how many articles were created and how often they were viewed.

What is the Europride?

Europride is an event that promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT pride) issues on an international level through parades, festivals and other cultural activities. It was founded in 1992 and has since then been taking place in different cities across Europe annually.

What is Wikipedia for Peace?

We think that Wikipedia needs more and better content on social movements, justice and peace in general. So we started up Wikipedia for Peace, which is a community project organized by Wikimedia. Several events will be organized in the future in different countries to create content on peace issues.

What will we do at the Europride in Stockholm?

Participants are also welcome to take photographs of the Europride in Stockholm to later publish them on Wikimedia commons. We will participate in the human rights summit on the 3rd of August. We will also visit the official parade on Sunday the 5th of August.

We've requested for the accommodation to be provided by partly by WMF and partly by the respective chapters of the participants. The venue where participants will be able to edit and upload pictures will be the en:Nationalmuseum. Travel costs for flights will most likely be paid by the respective home branches of the participants.
