Wikipedia for Peace: We can edit! Austria 2019[edit]

Basics
  • in a nutshell: this year we could bring our Wikipedia For Peace project to a new level, working with many more partner organisations and communities from four countries (Armenia, Austria, Germany and Spain). Thanks to a an external grant of 13,000 EUR via Erasmus+ we could support people from other Wikimedia organisations as well as like-minded communities and organisations to make women*, trans and non-binary people more visible on Wikipedia during a 10 day editing camp in Austria. From August 2-10 2019, the group met in a simple hostel in Kötschach-Mauthen, a small mountain village in the Austrian Alps, writing a new record number of new and improved articles.

Alpbach in Motion[edit]

  • in a nutshell: Alpbach in Motion is conference for emerging leaders within the international Alpbach Summit, Austria. The goal a solution-focused dialogue and networking around political and economical change in Europe. Our Executive Director was suggested for a full scholarship and attended the meeting. The attendance also comes with access to the Apbach in Motion Alumni network, a valuable asset for future projects and partnerships.
