Wikidata Workshop at Elevate Festival[edit]

  • in a nutshell: WMAT has been collaborating with the Elevate Festival in Graz for many years now, this year we hosted a Wikidata Workshop to raise awareness for open data and free knowledge

Wikipedia Blackout - Media Campaign around Copyright Reform[edit]

Project Social Topics on Wikipedia[edit]

  • in a nutshell: Together with Caritas Österreich / Caritas Wien, one of the biggest volunteer organisations in the German-speaking world, we launched a project last November: a group of Wikipedia newbies contributes and improves content about social topics on Wikipedia. The first round ended in March, the project will be continued and expanded.

Wikimedia Summit[edit]

Basics
  • in a nutshell: WMAT supports the Wikimedia Movement Strategy process with volunteer and staff time. Our chair and executive director (ED) were our representatives at this conference. We provided input to the strategy process and hosted discussions. Our ED also attended several meetings before the conference, e.g. the ED meeting and several working meetings with WMF representatives (regarding branding/communication, grant making etc.)
