[edit] Requests for locking global accounts

Here's a place where you can request accounts with offensive names or vandal-only contributions to be banned and hidden from the global user list.

[edit] Simple English crosswiki vandalism

During a Checkuser investigation of vandal activity on simple:wp, multiple SUL accounts were discovered which have been used for cross wiki vandalism. The main target seems to be the Russian wikipedia and most of the accounts were locally blocked there and are now blocked on simple as well but can be used elsewhere

• Mitrius. (imposter of ru: admin Mitrius)
• Хуй вам в рот, мудилы ссаные!
• Rk65 (used to create the already locked account 'Ярослав Блантер (пидарас)')
• Sliva20

The first three were created on Simple, the last was on idwiki. The range used by the vandal has been blocked for the time being at Simple and should not be creating any more accounts there for a few months. Creol 11:42, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Requests for usurpation or deleting global accounts — please watch this page, requests are handled quickly

Here you can request your account deletion and usurpation on wikis without active bureaucrats, or request the deletion of a global account if you need to be renamed or to usurp an account elsewhere. Please add new requests at the bottom!

If you want to request the renaming of multiple accounts on wikis without local crats please use the format:

Could you change the names of these accounts into Teysz Kamieński?
And after that, could you delete my SUL?
The user Teysz Kamieński hasn't got any edits, so could you rename my accounts (of the list above) into that.

If you delete the SUL afterwards, it'll continue to make accounts under that username after the renames are finished. Would it be preferable to delete the SUL first, then perform the renames? Kylu 02:03, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

The user "User:Mateusz Lemôlálô" has been renamed to "User:Teysz Kamieński" on Meta. You'll have to do individual requests for all the other wikis, however, as they've all got bureaucrats. Kylu 02:09, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I had recently created a SUL as Deepak D'Souza(which is the name i use on the English Wikipedia and on Wikimedia Incubator).I also had exising accounts on Marathi Wikipedia and Simple English Wikipedia with different names. However I had not entered and validated my address for the Marathi Wikipedia ID[1]. As a result I now have two IDs on the Marathi Wikipedia. One is "डी. डी." The other is "Deepak D'Souza". Will deleting the SUL be possible.I hope it wont affect my current login on the English Wikipedia. If it doesn't please delete my SUL. Then I will request an admin on the Marathi Wikipedia (and also on Simple English Wikipedia) to rename my accounts. Thanks. --Deepak D'Souza 18:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

You don't need to delete your SUL to have your accounts renamed.

For Simple Wikipedia: Visit simple:Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the directions.

For Marathi Wikipedia: Contact mr:सदस्य:अभय नातू and ask him to rename your unwanted account ("Deepak D'Souza") to something else ("Deepak D'Souza unused" perhaps. Doesn't matter really.), and your preferred account ("डी. डी.") to the global username ("Deepak D'Souza"). While there is a warning message that will display to the bureaucrat, in this case that is normal and he can continue with the rename. Hi, if he decided to have all his accounts renamed it is a good idea to delete sul too, to prevent automatic creations and to make this username free for others. However I am confused which username do You prefer now, and which username will be renamed? Thankls for your replies. Actually, that was the mistake I made. I should have put my email address on the Marathi Wikipedia account("डी. डी.") and authenticated it, but i did not do that beforehand. So when i created my SUL, it uses the new SUl iD (Deepak D'Souza) on the Marathi Wikipedia(I havent made any edits so far from the new SUl id on Marathi WIkipedia). I will try what Kylu has suggested. If it works fine then it would be great. Otherwise the SUL will have t be deleted first and then recreated right?

For birdy's question: I primarily edit on four areas: English Wp, Wikimedia Incubator(as Deepak D'Souza), on Simple English Wikipedia as "D. D." and Marathi WIkipedia as "डी. डी.". SInce Wikipedi guidelines state that it is better to use a latin script name , I would preffer to use "Deepak D'Souza" as my SUL name. --Deepak D'Souza 18:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I have an account in the Bulgarian Wikipedia, but also one in the English one. The problem I face is that my English one is en:User:Veni Markovski, while the Bulgarian one is in Cyrillic bg:User:Вени Марковски, and now I'd like to have the English account to be the same as the Cyrillic one, so that I don't lose my edits made with my English accounts. I don't know if I am formulating the question properly, though - sorry in advance; I just want to be able to login with one username, which will reflects all edits I've done. Whether this will be my English account, or my Bulgarian - it doesn't really matter. Can you, please, help? Вени Марковски 13:53, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello Вени Марковски, there is a global account registered for 'Вени Марковски' for 'Veni Markovski' not. If You want Your username renamed (whichever of both) You will have to make a request at the wiki locally if there are active crats. For en.wiki please see [2], if You decide to have 'Veni Markovski' be renamed to 'Вени Марковски' You don't have to ask for deletion of Your sul account, renaming works even if sul is activated (it would work also in the other direction but if You chose to abandon the username 'Вени Марковски' completely and change to the latin script I recommend to delete the sul to prevent automatic creations).
