The change we aim to bring is to train teachers on using Kiwix software to access Wikipedia contents offline anywhere and at anytime without internet connectivity. This will enable teachers to gain recent updates on educational topics, images, and more, which they can use to create clearer and more engaging illustrations for their students hence minimizing the problems faced in schools with inadequate teaching resources. Although, our basic concern is on how to access Wikipedia offline using the Kiwix software, we will educate our participants on the need for them to be Wikipedia editors. We will expose them to some few sister projects which are basically of important to them in teaching (Wiktionary and Wiki commons) the later which is use in finding meaning of words and the former for picturial illustrations in class.
Main Challenges:
1. Limited Internet Access: Many schools, especially in rural areas, lack reliable internet access, hindering teachers and students from utilizing online educational resources like Wikipedia.
2. Resource Constraints: Many schools do not have access to a wide range of educational materials, affecting the quality of education provided to students and hindering global competitiveness in terms of recent developments in educational topics and content.
Approaches to Achieve the Change:
1. Training Workshops: We will Conduct in-person and online workshops to train teachers on how to use Kiwix and access Wikipedia offline. These workshops will cover account creation, Wikipedia editing, article creation, and navigation of Kiwix to access the entire Wikipedia without internet connections.
2. Partnership with Ministry of Education: We have demonstrated the objectives of the project to the Kaduna State Ministry of Education and have gained full support and access to schools and teachers whom are digitally sound. This partnership ensure the sustainability and scalability of the project. The stages involved in the partnership are:

Note: The selected schools are chosen by the ministry of education simply because they have already government established well equipped computer laboratories, and for such choosen so that they can have a long-term impacts in the education of the state. - Conducting online training to teachers from selected schools (Kaduna Capital School, Sardauna Memorial College, Government Secondary School Rigachikun, Rimi College, and Government Girls Senior Secondary School) how to install and use Kiwix.

B. Training Facilitator: (787IYO) He is among the co-founder of "Kiwix Wikimedians User Group" submitted to Affcom almost satisfying the criterion of been recognized:

He will conduct training sessions for teachers, and IT staff of the selected schools on Kiwix installation, usage, and maintenance. He was among the few choosen candidate's from Wikimedia affiliates (representing Hausa communities) that was selected and participated in the "kiwix4schools Africa Mentorship program 2023" organised by the educational enhancer bodies recognized by Wikipedia such as: 1.Open Foundation West Africa (OFWA) 2.Kiwix 3.UNESCO Ghana Commission He graduated successfully and was issued a certificate of recognition:

C.Technical Crew: (Danaljanah1) will be responsible for the technical aspects of the project, including the installation and configuration of Kiwix. He is also among the co-founder of kiwix and have been a forefront in ensuring Wikipedia is highly utilized at many educational settings.
D.Communication Officer: (Fadindy) will be solely responsible for adequate communication with relevant organizations. She has been good in this aspect and have done alot previously in many projects and workshops.
E. Liason Officer: (Ironlady090), she is a secondary teacher whom is a educational advancement enthusiasts, whom lead us to the Hon. Commissioner of Education office and ensures smooth partnership request. Been a worker and a kiwix ambassador her presence in the team is a plus.
F. Volunteers: We have 2 volunteers whom all are teaching staffs in various schools in kaduna with Usernames as "Elameen12" and "Zully090", they will help in ensuring the best is achieved out of this partnerships.

The targeted participants are teachers from the 5 selected schools given by the Ministry of Education. As the project aims to train teachers on using Wikipedia and access it's through Kiwix software at every point of time without any connectivity. The method which will be used is;
1. Training the teachers about Wikipedia and how to access the later using Kiwix whom they will be mentors to students.
2. Outreach to selected schools to seamlessly configure their computers.
During the activities, participants will receive ongoing mentorship and support to ensure that they are able to deliver. The project will also provide training sessions, both in person and online, to ensure that participants have the necessary skills and knowledge about Kiwix. Additionally, the project team will work with selected schools to ensure Wikipedia are accessible through kiwix, which will provide ongoing opportunities for teachers and students to know more about Wikipedia projects.
