1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

This will be a one-month-long contest on adding Feminism and Folklore content to Swahili Wikipedia by translating the existing list of English articles and other articles that may be added later depending on how quickly the existing list is being translated. We will mainly focus on culture.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

As volunteers of Wikimedia through our community, we plan to do this project to raise awareness to help bridge the gender gap among women and provide space where participants from the Kilimanjaro community will learn and improve their skills and contribute to Wikimedia projects.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

Launching events, learning more about the Feminism campaign and its impacts in Tanzania, and organizing contest edit-a-thon for the participants during the campaign.

We shall organize two physical events with edit-a-thon, the first event is to launch the event, and another physical event to close the event where we will share the success of the community campaign, and recognize and award prizes to 5 top contributors in the Edit-a-thon the people and special prizes for top women contributors. It will be effective because young or new participants will get an environment for contributing and improving

Sharing skills and knowledge about women's culture in Tanzania and youths digitally through researching and writing about notable Women allows society to access information in order to make up their own minds and boost their confidence in addressing some situations.

Target participants are Wikimedia volunteers from Tanzania, I will reach them via social media, WhatsApp groups, and email as well. In retaining new participants, I will add them to the community WhatsApp group.

We will adhere strictly to the Wikimedia-friendly space policy and Universal Code of Conduct to make sure that everyone is exercising all the rights they have.

We hope to learn the impacts we can achieve as Tanzanian Community in the Wikimedia movement by contributing to this campaign, participants learning and sharing skills that can be applied to their Wikimedian activities.
