Notre vision est de promouvoir et de valoriser la connaissance libre à travers les projets de la fondation Wikimédia et par ricochet de faire connaître la fondation et les projets qu'elle porte auprès du public burkinabé. A travers l'organisation de ce concours, notre vision est de :
- Sensibiliser à la protection de la nature, à la préservation de la flore et de la faune burkinabè à travers des images.
- Montrer aux Burkinabè et au monde entier que malgré la situation sécuritaire que traverse le pays, il y'a encore de beaux espaces et monuments naturels à voir, à visiter et à protéger.
- Augmenter considérablement le nombre d'images sous licence libre des aires naturelles protégées au Burkina Faso.
- Amplifier la couverture médiatique des projets de la fondation Wikimédia au Burkina
Faso.
- Sensibiliser les photographes professionnels et amateurs sur les Licences Libres
- Combler le manque d'image pour l'illustration d'article sur Wikipédia et Wikivoyage.
- Créer et améliorer des articles existants dans Wikipédia et Wikivoyage en fournissant de meilleures images.
- Recruteur de nouveaux contributeurs sur Wikimédia Commons.
- Faire de ce concours qui est une première au Burkina, un tremplin pour mettre en place le User Group du Burkina Faso.
- Établir une collaboration durable et solide avec des photographes locaux autour des projets de la Wikimedia Foundation
