The She Said campaign will help us improve the visibility of women by creating articles and/or improving articles on Wikiquote that relate to women and thereby to bridge the gender gap in representation.

The issue of women representation on Wikimedia projects is a challenge that need to to be solved by activities that involve the women contributions. 

The campaign will also help us to involve women in organizing future activities related to women's contributions to Wikimedia projects. Women will be sensitized to involve and participate by contributions to cover the gap of women involvement, writing quotations of notable women in different areas. This project will bridges digital gender gap and content contribution.

We plan to have online and physical trainings and editathon on SheSaid Campain. In order to accomplish the activities of contribution for the campaign, 2 days in person programs that will involve carrying out training/presentation sessions will be organized. Editathon activities will be conducted when participants will make their contributions of related women quotes on Wikiquote.

As the campaign will take place for the first time in Burundi, we will be supported by other, among-others key people for mentorship User:Afek91, User:Islahaddow. They will provide us with needed support during campaing. User:Gilbert Ndihokubwayo, Project leader, will lead the overall project development and implementation activities, provide online and physical support throughout the program and reporting to the Project on progress and status of campaign. User:Ferdinand IF99, Co-organizer, will help to mobilize people around the project, co-train interested in participating to the campaign. User:NIYUHIRE Octavie, User:Izerte will be involved for the gender inclusion, also to help the women sensitization.

The campaing is open to everyone. There is no exception. Anyone, Burundians or not, actual wikimedian or not. We will encourage women participation to contribute and think of organising activities aiming to to showcase women quotes and activities. Before and during the activities, we will engage the participants through the communication, organization of meetings. In order to follow up the participants after the activities, we will create a communication channel with the participants in order to keep contact with them. At the end of the program we will have an assessment on every participant on their understanding about the project.

We have discussed about the Wiki Loves Women/SheSaid campaign to be held in Burundi with our community members throughout our communication channel (https://chat.whatsapp.com/Iq0p6ZIhqmm3rY2GJ7UB3q) where a zoom link have been shared for our discussion. Having understood the importance of women inclusion in Wikipedia activities to bridge the gender inequality, it has been agreed to have the campaign organized in Burundi.

Wiki Loves Women – SheSaid project will help me as well as the community, to learn many skills as a contributor and a leader of a gender gap initiative in the wikimedia community. It will olso be an opportunty to recruiting new Women editors from Wikiloves women SheSaid and then extend my network of contributors to Wikimedia projects from who I expect to have new contents to be contributed about women from my community.
