Other (please specify) My working group will label Wikidata descriptions in Vietnamese.

6. What is the change you are trying to bring? What are the main challenges or problems you are trying to solve? Describe this change or challenges, as well as main approaches to achieve it. (required)

Due to the absence of Vietnamese descriptions for numerous crucial Wikidata items, we aim to engage in this initiative to contribute valuable content to Wikidata. Additionally, we aspire to revive our User Group collaboration, which has been inactive for several years without any grants. So basically, we will manually label Wikidata descriptions and discuss each other in our working group if we face any contribution issues.

After the Wikidata activities, we look to also organise Wikiquote sessions to translate vital articles from other languages into Vietnamese. Though this, we hope to build up momentum to continue editing.

7. What are the planned activities? (required) Please provide a list of main activities. You can also add a link to the public page for your project where details about your project can be found. Alternatively, you can upload a timeline document. When the activities include partnerships, include details about your partners and planned partnerships.

Search for Wikidata items that miss descriptions in Vietnamese, especially vital articles. Consider translating descriptions from English to Vietnamese or reading the first paraphrase of articles to decide what descriptions should be used. Statistic Wikidata items added and cross-validate the correctness of descriptions.

For the Wikiquote activities, similar to Wikidata, we will do a first session on socialising and then editing support and hope to recruit 6 volunteers to join this.

8. Describe your team. Please provide their roles, Wikimedia Usernames and other details. (required) Include more details of the team, including their roles, usernames, Wikimedia group, and whether they are salaried, volunteers, consultants/contractors, etc. Team members involved in the grant application need to be aware of their involvement in the project.

Our team has 7 volunteers, and here are their Wikimedia usernames and respective roles. 1. Alphama: organizer, participant, first contact (will also join Wikiquote project) 2. NhacNy2412: participant, secondary contact (will also join Wikiquote project) 3. Bluetpp: participant 4. MW Song Ngư: participant 5. Mongrangvebet: participant (will also join Wikiquote project) 6. And we expect 3 more participants for Wikiquote project.

9. Who are the target participants and from which community? How will you engage participants before and during the activities? How will you follow up with participants after the activities? (required)

We are all from Vietnamese Wikimedia projects (Vietnamese Wikipedia, Meta Wikimedia). We open the discussion about the working group and ping them to join. After the working group, we will continue to control the quality of WIkidata descriptions and correct descriptions if having errors.
