Project Goal[edit]
What will be the outputs of your project and how will those outputs contribute to advancing a specific Movement Strategy Initiative

- We shall focus on EQUITY, (i.e. 4. 4. Ensure Equity in Decision-Making, which contains items 24-28).
Project Background[edit]
- When do you intend to begin this project and when will it be completed?
- This project shall commence on 1st September 2023, or even sooner, with 15th November 2023 as its targeted conclusion as specified.
- Where will your project activities be happening?
- The project itself will be brought to two (2) LANGUAGE communities as in the previous phase, namely Bicolano and Tagalog. It will be presented as the Foundation's initiative to bring EQUITY in decision-making to the community stakeholders, whereby reflection and feedback will be essential.
- Are you collaborating with other communities or affiliates on this project? Please provide details of how partners intend to work together to achieve the project goal.
- For the scope of this second project phase, the most effective channels shall be with discussion groups particular to the respective communities.
- What specific challenge will your project be aiming to solve? And what opportunities do you plan to take advantage of to solve the problem?
- With a realistic view towards the time constraints and the volume of tasks involved, it is most effective to reach out to the movers and shakers of the pertinent communities. Some doors will be open (receptive) and some doors will remain closed (hesitative). But, as before, this should not deter us.
- Does this project aim to apply one of the examples shared in the call for grants and if so which one?
- This grant is set to align with the MC Ambassadors Grant Program.
Project Activities[edit]
- What specific activities will be carried out during this project? Please describe the specific activities that will be carried out during this project.
- As our Philippine archipelago thrives with Wiki communities across islands and provinces: communication is key, not simply across virtual channels, but in face-to-face meetings of warm bodies. For this phase, we shall reach out to the closest accessible communities, namely Bicolano and Tagalog.
Language Projects[edit]
The pertinent Discussion Pages in the two language projects (Tagalog and Bicol) of this proposal shall be the default venues for comments, suggestions and reactions.
TAGALOG WIKIPEDIA[edit]
In August 2023, there were 50 active contributors in Tagalog Wikipedia. We may assume this as a conservative estimate of those likely to engage themselves in interactive discussion. We intend to organize a virtual Meetup should a minimal quorum of attendees is reached.
The number of active Tagalog Wikipedia participants on a monthly basis may be determined with this tool:

Responsibility[edit]

- This proponent shall take full responsibility for the processes and deliverables of this proposed ambassadorship.
Efforts to converge Wiki communities in the Philippines have been in rotation over time. As a past president (2014-2015) of the the former Wikimedia Philippines, then as past president (2022-2023) of the Philippine Wikimedia Community UG (Naga City), and currently as founding Head (commencing 2022) of the thematic startup, Pilipinas Panorama Community, I aspire for our country's Wiki communities to advance in the Wikimedia Movement. I am also an admin of the aforementioned Philippine Wikimedia Kapihan (present membership: 590). As such, I am undaunted to follow through on updating these communities as best as could be done. Nevertheless, a full-line ambassadorial role and coverage presents itself an arduous task, with Philippine communities as diverse as follows:

Outcomes[edit]
After your activities are complete, we would like to understand the draft implementation plan for your community. You will be required to prepare a document detailing this plan around a movement strategy initiative. This report can be prepared through Meta-wiki using the Share your results button on this page. The report can be prepared in your language, and is not required to be written in English.
In this report, you will be asked to:
- Provide a link to the draft implementation plan document or Wikimedia page
- Describe what activities supported the development of the plan
- Describe how and where you have communicated your plan to relevant communities.
- Report on how your funding was spent
Your draft implementation plan document should address the following questions clearly:
- What movement strategy initiative or goal are you addressing?
- What activities will you be doing to address that initiative?
- What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
- How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?
To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:
