Project Goal[edit]

This is a project that will be taking place in Hausa Wikipedia annually, to enhence, engaged the partication of Hausa Wikipedian editors annually, this project is meant to develope their skills and experience, also to support them with tools that will help them in making a qualitative contrubution at every moment, at the end of every project that will take place annually, we expect to have more qualitative articles in Hausa Wikipedia, we expect to improve skills and experience of existing and newly editors.
- To improve skills and experience of Hausa Wikipedian editors
- To increase number of articles
- To increase qualitative contrubution
- To attract new Hausa editors from outside world
- Add or improve content: 500 articles
- Recruit new editors: 10 editors
- Engage existing editors: 10 editors

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. What content will the contest focus on, and why is it important to your community?
- We will focuse on creating articles related to Hausa and Nigeria, its impotant to our wiki to have articles related Hausa and Nigeria, in such away that it will attract the attention of visitors and make Hausa Wikipedia a better place to seek for knowledge.
2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.
You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

3. How will you let participants know about the contest? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.
- I will create comunicate with them through user:talk and social media channels
4. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?
Note: Grantees, judges, and other contest leaders are ineligible to receive prizes. Grantees who are serving as judges may not receive gifts through grant funding.
- I will set a group of experience editors to judge the contest base on quantity and quality.
5. For photo contests, what is the strategy to get images used on projects?
- It is not a photo contest, but it will focused on adding photos through out the contest, a special point will be stated for photo use during the contest.
6. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
- No in person event, we will hold training virtually on google meet.
7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
- As this project will be carried out annually, it will boost the moral of Hausa Wikipedian editors, We will like to have a very good start.

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets and feel free to add more:
For photo contests:
- Number of participants
- Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons
- Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects
For writing contests:
- Number of participants: 20 participants
- Number of articles created or improved: 500 articles

- We are experience editors from Hausa Wikipedia, I User:Anasskoko will lead this project with the help of User:Musa Vacho77 as fascillator.
