Project Goal

- Recruit new editors: Massive campaign to recruit Igbo language editors
- Increase skills for existing editors: Increase the editing skill set of existing editors
- Add or improve content: Significantly add and improve content on the Igbo Language Wiktionary platform

[edit]Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings? We are planning a series of 4 editathons over 4 months.
2. How will you let your community know about the event? Please paste links below to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions. Face to face discussions with existing Igbo Language editors that existing editors in the Igbo Wikimedians User Group, there are 6 editors that are elated about the project and have commited to contribute to the success. 3. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event?
We have 10 existing Igbo Language editors. They include:
4. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them? Yes they have Personal Computers and Smartphones which will be used at the venue for the training.
5. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

6. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project? When scaled the impact will be relevant and measurable.
Impact
[edit]How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets:
- Number of events: 4
- Number of participants: 30
- Number of new editors: 12
- Number of of articles created or improved: 50
- Number of repeat participants (for projects that include a series of events): 15
Resources
[edit]What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding). 4 Igbo Language Wikimedians will be involved in the project design, implementation and management.
What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.
- Venue = $220 x 4 = $880
- Food and drink = $200 x 4 events = $800
- Internet access: $48 x 4 events = $192
- Miscellaneous supplies (name tags, printing cheatsheets, etc.) = $100
Total = 1,972 USD
