The grant is designed to accomodate six monthly gatherings ( provision has been made for the month that will host WikiIndaba) for members of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria. The grant tends to achieve the under listed project goals ( See the Project Goals below).

Project Goal[edit]

Choose one or more of the following goals. You can add or delete goals as needed.

  1. Socialize with community members
  2. Organize a community project
  3. Recruit new editors
  4. Increase skills for existing editors
  5. Increase contributors to Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa language Wikipedia
  6. Improve content
  7. Organizing likely partnership meeting and other activities that will help the growth of the community

  1. What is the purpose of the meeting and why is it important to your community?
    To serve the purpose of supporting community engagement programs among our members eg monthly meetings.
    To support the discussion of current/future programs especialy WikiIndaba 2019 in Abuja or any ongoing meetings that were not budgeted for in any of our grant.
    To finance local transport to any of our potential partners' offices.
  2. If applicable, what benefits have you seen from doing this kind of meeting in the past?
    Help to recruit more volunteers
    Help to support organization of some of our community events like editathon, photo contest etc.

Impact[edit]

Note: In addition to your project-specific measures of success, you will also be asked to report on some Global Metrics at the end of your final report. Please keep this in mind as you plan, and we'll support you as you begin your project.

  2. If at least 13 people participates
  3. If at least 2 new editors are recruited per meetup
  4. If at least 5 new articles are created and 5 existing articles improved
  5. If at least 2 partnership arrangemnts/talks are concluded
