Clarifying roles/projects[edit]

It would be helpful for communities to know who is working on which projects/product teams. I'll add these next to everyone's name if that's OK. -Rdicerb (WMF) (talk) 21:40, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

I always like decreases in channel redundancy. :) Nemo 11:28, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
Speaking of which, will this message posted here on this discussion page reach all the liaisons? EllenCT (talk) 22:02, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
Yes? :) CKoerner (WMF) (talk) 17:09, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Page move and renaming[edit]

It appears that when the team was renamed, this page from moved from Community Engagement (Product) in a way which left the talk page at Talk:Community Engagement (Product) behind and a new talk page was started here with a new history. Was that deliberate, and if so, what was the reason? Rogol Domedonfors (talk) 20:42, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

Resolved now, thanks. Rogol Domedonfors (talk) 21:20, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

CLs are hiring![edit]

Hey everyone, apologies for the cross-posting, we're just too excited!

We're looking for a new member for our team [0], who'll dive right away in the promising Structured Data project. [1] Is our future colleague hiding among the tech ambassadors, translators, GLAM people, community members we usually work with? We look forward to finding out soon. So please, check the full job description [2], apply, or tell anyone who you think may be a good fit. For any questions, please contact me personally (not here). Thanks! Elitre (WMF) (talk) 12:04, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi all! As an update to this:

Welcoming Sandra Fauconnier, our new Structured Data community liaison[edit]

The Technical Collaboration team is very happy to welcome Sandra Fauconnier, our new community liaison focusing on the Structured Data program. Sandra will support the collaboration between the communities (Commons, Wikidata, GLAM…)  and the product development teams involved at the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia Germany. The plan is to improve Wikimedia Commons allowing users to better view, translate, search, edit, curate and use media files. To achieve that, the Commons backend will be migrated to Wikibase, the same technology used for Wikidata. Many other features and pieces are part of this plan. In the near future, as the first prototypes and tests start to emerge, Sandra will also drive the engagement with new individual content contributors, existing and new GLAM organizations, and developers interested in exploring the possibilities of the new platform. Learn more. --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 12:22, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
