Banned on freenode

So, chat.freenode.net now seems to be hosted by card.freenode.net, is that correct? I appear to have been banned from that server and am not sure why, I have not even spoken in any of the channels for a long time (but the ban was very recent). Anyone have any idea how I can reverse this?

The connection logs are:

  • josephine_l sets mode +Z on josephine_l
  • josephine_l sets mode +i on josephine_l
  • Cannot join #wikimedia (You are banned).
  • Cannot join #wikimedia-commons (You are banned).
  • Cannot join #wikimedia-mobile (You are banned).

card.freenode.net is one of many FreeNode servers you may be directed to when connecting to chat.freenode.net. Try connecting again now - earlier on there was a ban on anyone not authenticated with NickServ, affecting most wikimedia channels. I imagine you got caught in that --Krenair (talkcontribs) 22:36, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
@Misaochan: please give me a shout if the ban appears to be still in place, as it is possible you were accidentally caught in a range ban affecting multiple channels. Snowolf How can I help? 04:42, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
@Snowolf: Still having this issue today, this time it's with wilhelm.freenode.net. However yesterday I was able to connect to that server if I recall correctly. Misaochan (talk) 05:19, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
Each of the FreeNode servers are going to tell you the same thing if they are working correctly. The ban on unauthenticated users was reinstated earlier, then removed again. Are you sure you identified with NickServ? --Krenair (talkcontribs) 11:50, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
