Hi. I've changed this line for Turkish language: That information will be deleted 90 days after the election concludes and will only be visible to scrutineers and staff election advisors.

Like that: That information will be deleted 90 days after the election concludes, in accordance with our procedures, and will only be visible to scrutineers and staff election advisors.

Hereby should we update the official text? --Victor Trevor (talk) 17:52, 3 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Victor Trevor: Sorry for the delay - I spoke with some of the team and we don't believe this is necessary so will not be adding it to the text to be translated. Thank you for making the point, though, and for your great translations! Joe Sutherland (Wikimedia Foundation) (talk) 22:51, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Translations transfer

[edit]

Hi Joe, am I assuming it correctly that someone has to be pinged for the transfer of the translations to votewiki to happen? I have completed Ukrainian one, so if you could add it, thanks. Ата (talk) 18:24, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Ата/JSutherland (WMF), I have added those translations and would appreciate if you could each double-check the display.
(Note that sometimes votewiki may "lock" you onto a language, that you first jumped there with, even on subsequent visits. I think this is described at phab:T97923#1255972 which [may be of interest to Amire80 who had caught my eye to this] and I was able to reproduce with French interface. There is a language selector, if that happens, where I have also added Ukrainian.) Xeno (WMF) (talk) 19:20, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Xeno. I made changes to already existing lines, have you change those, too? Besides, there is no translation unit for 'Comments' line here on Meta page, so it got left in English. Ата (talk) 19:29, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ата: Thank you for correcting those existing lines! I imported them also. Hopefully I didn't miss anything this time. I think the word Comments might be from TranslateWiki.net: translatewiki:MediaWiki:Securepoll-header-comments/uk. If you are not able to enter it there, please feel free to provide me with the appropriate string. I appreciate all your assistance here. Xeno (WMF) (talk) 19:43, 18 March 2022 (UTC) (edit: Thanks for that - note updates at TW may not show immediately, I think it has to make it into the core)Reply
Indeed, it is on translatewiki, thanks for reminding me. All looks fine now. Ата (talk) 19:47, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
