- Now might be time to reconsider options. At Wikimedians in Residence Exchange Network/meetups we have had 4 Wikidata themed online meetups. There is a project among United States universities called the Wikidata Affinity Group in the Linked Data for Production project which has had two recent online meetups. These virtual meetups seem likely to continue as regular events. Maybe we are coming to the point where there are multiple small groups collaborating in virtual spaces to do Wikidata projects, and we could use a Wikidata usergroup as a central place to log open meetings which any specialized group might be hosting.
- I do not think that it works well for a Wikimedia user group to put a lot of administration on itself, but when other groups are organizing their own projects, then central user groups can become more useful. Even if we did make this a hub for open-invitation community based Wikidata projects, we would still need some administration here to sort that, and currently we are lacking that. I think we have a lot of people here who can participate in wiki activities which someone else organizes, but I am not sure who is here and who actually has capacity to do more fundamental organizing. Let's begin: Step 2[edit]
As mentioned in this talk page, we are now able to spot multiple wikidata and wikibase centric communities and meetup groups operating.
I think it is time we move this group to 'Step 2', for which I propose: Step 2:support and collaborate
- Discuss our favorite wikidata/wikibase related projects
- SPARQL queries - discussion and support
- Listing of Wikidata/wikibase community based projects/posts/blogs
- Listing of all Wikidata/Wikibase Community Groups

Wikidata:Outreach[edit]
Hi I have created the d:Wikidata:Outreach page. I will refine over the next months and shape it in a more fucntional way but I think it could be useful in general. I can link it from this descriptive page in the future.--Alexmar983 (talk) 09:16, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
