Talk:Wikinews/License

Add topic
From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

This was discussed at the open board meeting in late August, and a date in mid-September was suggested for a vote; others suggested getting firm clarification on legal issues so that people aren't voting on what is legal, only on what the community should do within the law.

Please leave your thoughts here (or on the content page itself) about holding such a vote now; other ways to reach consensus; and the organization of such a vote. +sj | Translate the Quarto |+ 19:42, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Creative Commons Attribution is NOT compatibile with GFDL

[edit]

Hi, the GNU site offer a comparision of GFDL compatibile licenses at http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html#DocumentationLicenses and the Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 is incompatibile. How about to have a double license, CC-BY and GFDL? I think that to have only CC-BY is bad for the interoperability with the others wikimedia projecst. --Trek00 12:26, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
