Add topicWikikids etc.
[edit]Yes, add it to the Proposals for new projects page. It sounds very interesting. I'll read through it and then I'll give you a few more thoughts. :) T®eebark 17:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Let's wait for about a month until the beginning or mid-December and see if anyone else comments, see if we have any new ideas for the project. If all goes well, we can readd it to the Proposals to new project page then. I think it will be active because they've already started one in other languages. Why not English? In case your interested in an English Wikikids would you mine doing this: New project policy? T®eebark 00:51, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
Wikikids
[edit]Just to let you know wikikids now has a demo site here[1]. I hope that you will start editing right away.--Sir James Paul 21:00, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
More Wikikids!
[edit]Dear Astirmays, could you update Wikikids to note the current status of the active projects, and to include any request for support from the WMF -- as a sister project or otherwise? You mentioned something like this via email, but it will help to have a request or proposal on meta for everyone to look at. –SJ talk 16:37, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Support for Vikidia.org
[edit]Hello Astirmays,
I happened upon a page where you were writing that the adoption phase to the WMF and Wikipedia did not go through. I was sorry to read that, because I believe your Vikidia.org organization has great merit. I like especially the point that you are targeting the 8 - 13 year old group. I believe that your organization is quite worthy of corporate sponsorship, so that you may concentrate on the creative and day to day operations, rather than be worried about where the next grant might come from.
May I ask you please the approximate cost of a good server farm you might sign up to move Vikidia to? What size would you need, and figuring in your growth pattern and expansion plans over the next five year period?
I currently represent, and am on the board of a foundation whose main mission is to provide educational opportunities to children all over the globe.
It you are interested in receiving an endowment for your Vikidia.org project, please contact me on your page here, or even my meta talk page, whichever you prefer.
Sincerely,
WordSeventeen
