Global sysop requests

[edit]

Hello. Please do not make requests for projects that have active administrators, as they can handle their stuff by themselves. Global sysop tools are limited by the global policy. You can check admin activity using tools like Stewardry. Kind regards, Sgd. —Hasley 14:34, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

OK well I always press that GSR button when it's available, but if pressing the button is bugging global sysops, okay I'll be less hasty and check Special:ActiveUsers before doing so (checking for at least 2 sufficiently active sysops). At least I'm getting the hang of this now. Can I Log In (talk) 22:11, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Global Block request

[edit]

So what was it all about? Meursault2004 (talk) 22:21, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Meursault2004 Accident. Checked for active sysops on that wiki to requet a local block before going to GSR. I then found out that the IP was abusing cross-wiki, so I went ahead and pressed the GARV button to report to SRG for cross-wiki abuse. The problem? I was one the wrong tab. I was on your contribs in stead of that IP. Can I Log In (talk) 22:25, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Concerning your edit summary

[edit]

How did this happen? PiRSquared17 (talk) 23:47, 1 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

The GARV button didn't show up when I'm on my userpage. A simple fix was to go to a random userpage and turns out it was you. Oh with won't show up on special pages either, so I just want a central tab to report. Can I Log In (talk) 00:00, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Oh did it send an edit summary ping? Derp will report User:Example next time. Can I Log In (talk) 00:01, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
It didn't, I just happened to check Special:RecentChanges and was surprised to see my username in that context! After all, I don't think I've been particularly abusive or spammy lately. But yeah, feel free to use my user page to launch ARV if it's convenient. PiRSquared17 (talk) 00:05, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

COIBot

[edit]

Hello, may I know why are you closing COIbot reports? Ideally closers to a report should have the ability to implement all the possible outcomes, which is to add the link to the spam blacklist or etc. This can only be done by meta sysops or stewards. I hope you do not continue this. Regards, Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 18:09, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okie I'll stick to the reverting part. Can I Log In (talk) 18:12, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
No issues . For reverts, there are wikis where there are filters (which only specific users can - like thai which only GR / local rollbackers can), so I don't know if you will encounter these. If you have good consistent work, you may request for the right. However, please just revert, don't mark reverted on the report too. Thanks for the work, I had gone through all, seems okay but will be best for someone who can do all the possible actions closing them. MY UNBLOCK REQUEST is IN PROGRESS on jawiki

[edit]

@Can I Log In:I'm not Syun respect for music (talk contribs deleted contribs logs block user block log CentralAuth AllContribs checkuser investigate). My unblock request on jawiki is in progress and I'm wating for sysop&checkusers' comments. So please withdrawn your reporting at least until the discussion is over. I apologize for my poor English. --129femtoseconds (talk) 20:22, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

For what it's worth, I, myself, am not making the judgement if you should be locked. Merely, all the report does is let the stewards know "we got a suspicous user here". If you aren't an LTA and otherwise shouldn't be locked, I will withdraw it or the stewards will decline a lock. Can I Log In (talk) 04:01, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
