Hello, Camouflaged Mirage. Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Also worthwhile acquainting yourself with the functions of global user pages. Happy editing!

@Hamish Not sure what you wanted, you wanted the form (i.e. can't open) or? If via the website the form can't be opened, I don't think sending you a copy will bypass any. For such assistance, will be best to approach the local consulate for paper version. Thanks and take care. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:37, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
reply sent. Hamish 16:26, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Hamish Sorry for the delay, I am still thinking whether to attend the event (i.e. revealing exact identity), so I don't think I am able to do so. Deepest apologies. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 06:45, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's okay. Thank you anyway. Hamish 16:31, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

On recent case.

Hi @Camouflaged Mirage. Please read w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PlanespotterA320, you will know why I strongly discourage you from unblocking this user. Lemonaka (talk) 10:50, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Lemonaka Sorry for the late reply, seemed globally locked now which they will need to appeal that to the community before local unblocks. Thanks for the note though. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 09:52, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

For those that are interested

Hi,

It had been an honour for me to be elected as a sysop and gaining most of your trust in my RFA 2020. I tried to stay active throughout so as to stay true to my promise. I am grateful for all in tolerating my mistakes and I really enjoyed working in meta. Recently, I find the activity is dropping and I don't see it will improve in the coming months per say. Due to real life issues, commitments and other issues I don't think is right to hold on to access I don't intend to use for sometimes. Hence, I am taking this step to step down as I also hold onto the perspective that sysops should stay active and involved in the projects as far as possible. Also, the areas I am involved in maintenance had good new sysops taking over and we have more zh speaking ones too.

With that I will be making a SRP request for removal and I thank you all for the time spend together in mopping meta. Will still edit here and there and should I remain active for longer periods I hope to still have your trust when I run for another RFA. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 11:24, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your work. I hope to see you active again, you are welcome anytime. :) —BRP ever 11:38, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey, it has been an absolute honour to be able to work with you. From smashing spambots to fighting vandals, you've taught me a lot and brought me to where I am today in the wiki world. Thank you for your service and stay safe always. Cheers! --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:24, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sad to see you resigning, it's just like all those years before. Hope you don't quit the movement entirely. —— Eric LiuTalk 13:19, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I'm just writing to tell you that I hope everything is ok and you are well, after some months since your last appearance on wiki! Hope to see you active again soon :) Superpes15 (talk) 19:13, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Camouflaged Mirage,

We’re excited to invite you to an inspiring global virtual gathering: the first Capacity Exchange Translat-a-thon.

Together with Language Diversity Hub, the Capacity Exchange (CapX) team will host its first Translation Marathon dedicated to ensuring linguistic equity in access to this amazing tool aimed to connect Wikimedians.
If you enjoy contributing to Wikimedia projects through translating and adapting content into different languages, this event is for you! Join us in the celebration of the multilingual spirit of the Wikimedia Movement at an event where communities that contribute in diverse languages will be able to share local knowledge and collaborate across borders.
Many Tongues, One Movement: Voices Across Languages

  • Date: December 6, 2025
  • Time: 12 PM (UTC) - Check the event page for your local timezone
  • Location: Online (Meta-Wiki + live session links)

If you can’t join the live event, you can still contribute to the translations! Edits will be counted for two weeks, until December 20th. And everyone who participates will receive a special badge to display on their CapX profiles.

Strengthen your collaboration through CapX
