Wikimedia CEE Spring 2015/Structure/Romania
[edit]Hi. I noticed your last messages that you post on Gutza's talk page. Let me get it straight. You want that list to contain about 200-300 articles about Romania, right? Also, based on the same list, you want to write a presentation article, but you don't know from where to begin, right? --Winter eu 23:16, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
- I personally thought that 100 would be good. No, I don't want to write a presentation article. By saying "do it all" I meant that I want to write the list myself but I don't know what would be better. Especially about society of Romania. However I've got an idea to look in your most popular articles list. --Jarash (talk) 07:06, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
- I see. Well, in that case, you can seek for:
- national poets (Mihai Eminescu, George Coșbuc etc.), writers (Mihail Sadoveanu, Radu Tudoran etc.)
- kings of the historical province which is now Romania (Burebista, Decebalus etc.)
- generals and officers who served during WW1 and/or WW2
- car factories (Dacia, Aro, Daewoo etc.), airplanes (IAR), trucks
- other tourist sites (Maramureș, Danube Delta etc.)
- other very well-known national brands (Borsec, Ursus etc.)
- Besides those above, you can also:
- search why Bucharest was called "the little Paris" during the interwar period
- complete the list of Romanian kings (don't forget Ferdinand and Brâncoveanu) and other rulers
- see for architectural styles and influences (ex. Mogoșoaia Palace, Peleș Castle etc.)
- national traditions (Easter, Christmas etc.)
- search for other representative buildings (Palace of the Parliament, Arcul de Triumf etc.)

Interface for Belarusian users who don't know English
[edit]Hello, I'm contacting you because you are a be/ru speaker. Please read and comment on a proposal to reduce the amount of English shown to Belarusian users. According to studies, Russian sentences are much easier to understand for Belarusian speakers than English sentences (and vice versa). Yet, we still use English a lot in the Belarusian interface. 2016 Community Wishlist Survey
[edit]Hi,
You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.
The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
