Hi Ohvet. Related to the above comment - I had to revert some of your translations for Tech News, because they didn't include the links that were in the original. (example). If you need any help with learning the translation system, please take a look at mw:Help:Extension:Translate/Translation example or see the existing translations in other languages to compare how they do things. Thanks! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 21:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ohvet. In this new week's edition of Tech/News/2022/07/ak, I see that the links are still missing. May I suggest that you take a look at another translation, to see how other editors add links? E.g. Take a look at this German translation, and notice how the links are structured with the label. (I find it easiest to learn from existing examples, so I think it might help you, too!) Best wishes, Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 20:39, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Ohvet. I have the same issue as others described before. Your work on Tech/News/2022/08/ak includes no links, and I'm not sure if the translation is accurate. I have to ask you to stop translating. Trizek (WMF) (talk) 16:40, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

STOPPING TECH NEWS TRANSLATIONS[edit]

Thanks very much. I am stopping translations related to TECH news. Ohvet (talk) 18:38, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Ohvet, you can translate as far as you keep the code as it is in the messages you translate.
For instance, this message is supposed to be translated as == Kwan a ɛwɔ sɛ wɔdi soɔ ==, with the same number of equal signs you see in the English text. Otherwise, it creates a broken text, without titles.
This one must have links. Links are pieces of text between brackets. This syntax Tech/News creates a link to Tech/News. local discussions will create a link that shows "local discussions" as a text and with $ucocdiscussions as a link. Do not change links that look like $ucocdiscussions, as it would break the link.
Without these elements, the text you translate is incomplete.
Let me know if you have questions. :) Trizek (WMF) (talk) 14:12, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
