User Group's Eligibility to Wikimedia Conference
[edit]Hello Sarmad, I saw, and reverted, your changes to the eligibility page for Wikimedia Conference. It is not appropriate for user groups to make changes to that list as it is managed based on your official reporting to AffCom. In order for Iraqi Wikimedians to be eligible, you must get up-to-date with your user group reporting requirements. Your organization is currently past due on its required annual reporting. Wikimedia User Groups are required to submit an annual activity report covering the entirety of the 12-month agreement period in order to prompt review for a renewal. Reports must be written in English, posted to meta, and linked on the meta Reports page.
This page is used to track how organizations and groups are meeting reporting requirements described in their agreements with the Wikimedia Foundation (e.g. chapter agreements, thematic organization agreements, user group agreements). It is the central place where affiliates can add reports about their activities, share their plans, and even news or social media channels with the wider movement. When new reports are available, organizations and groups should add them to this page to keep their columns up to date.
As noted on the meta Reports page, your organization’s 2015-2016 annual reporting became due in October. Please be sure to:
- Post your 2015 annual reporting to the meta Reports page as soon as possible to return to compliance with your user group agreement.
- Check that your group’s page is also up to date with past report links for historical record-keeping, and
- Please send an email to Wikimedia-l in order to share with a movement-wide audience.
Once you have made updates to the Reports page I will get notification and will update the eligibility listing as appropriate.

Your U4C candidacy
[edit]Hi, regarding your candidate's page for the U4C Election (Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Election/2026/Candidates/Sarmad Yaseen), based on the required eligibility criteria it doesn't appear that you currently have—or have previously had—extended rights on any project.

- Hello @Civvì, based on the required eligibility criteria it doesn't appear to be any condition about being an extended user.
- "each member and candidate must:
- Comply with the UCoC.
- Be at least 18 years old and sign the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information (NDA) with the Wikimedia Foundation once they are elected.
- Have not been blocked on any Wikimedia project nor have an active event ban in the past one year. Candidates who are blocked may appeal to the U4C Election Committee, who may make an exception.
- Self-identify their home wiki(s) and the region they are from publicly.
- Meet any other eligibility requirements determined during the election process.
- Be a registered member of at least one Wiki project for at least 365 days and have a minimum of 500 edits globally on 24 April 2026 12:00 UTC."

- Hi, for the election 2026 and based on the results of previous elections we have aligned the requirements with those of stewards elections and added this "As a further eligibility requirement for the 2026 election, candidates must hold or have held administrator or other extended rights (e.g. CU, Arb) on at least one public Wikimedia Foundation project or steward or global sysop rights for a period of at least three months."
