Unsubscription of newsletter

Hello, I noticed that you unsubscribed. How would you like the newsletter to be formatted? Ainali talkcontributions 21:23, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

  • Hello Ainali, my name is Tito (my other account is User:Tito (CIS-A2K). Earlier I suggested the same on the mailing list. But I did not get a response. I saw your work here and there and respected your work. I'll try to re-explain what I meant. A newsletter is often created in 2 formats, one is plain text format (good for Wikimedia-l etc mailing list) and the second Wiki-format: for Meta-Wiki, and for talk pages. It contains Wiki-links and format. a lot of [[, [[:m:, [[:d: etc.
I see all Wiki-newsletters using Wiki-formats. For example, please have a look at the 2 back to back newsletters I got today. Please note the formatting difference. Or kindly see a Singpost format here. Earlier on that email I suggested if I could work on a draft to explain the changes, but there I did not get a response. Thanks for your question. Regards. -- Tito Dutta (talk) 22:14, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
  • Even if you use footnote formats perhaps use <ref> tag[1] that will enable jumping back and forth from reference 1, 2, 3, 4 etc, and references will be numbered properly. Currently the order is 19, 20, 18, 1, 2 3.... -- Tito Dutta (talk) 22:19, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
I see. The reason I have not done it so far is that that kind of formatting does not work on the email list, and thus doubles the workload. If you are willing to help out formatting one of them I would be very thankful. Ainali talkcontributions 22:32, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
  • Ainali The current month's newsletter is already published. I have started a draft work here to further explain what I meant. The page has raw design which (of course needs to be changed according to project needs, colour etc) and also some parts such as headers are used as templates so that does not require creation again and again. It is pretty late at night here (almost 5 am). Thankfully tomorrow is Sunday. I need to finish a few uploads on Commons now. I have changed links of the first 3 section for demo. The general process is to create a Wiki-format first and then the plain-text format. Regards. -- Tito Dutta (talk) 23:14, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
I understood what you meant, but thanks for taking the time being very pedagogical. My question was if you are willing to help create and send the other version each month? Ainali talkcontributions 07:43, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
