Categorising

Please do not introduce categories with too little focus on pages that carry a wider focus and perspectives. WikiConference India 2023 is very least a "Telugu Wikipedia" event as it has a broader focus and was of course not a "sole Telugu Wikipedia Event", and the category doesn't carry any relevance, as such. ─ Aafī ^(talk) 07:49, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Expression of Interest: Advanced Train the Trainer (ATTT) 2025

Dear User,

I hope you are doing well. We are pleased to inform you that the Open Knowledge Initiative team at IIIT-H is organising an event called Advanced Train the Trainer. The Expression of Interest is already open for submissions, and we encourage you to apply if you are interested or haven't applied yet. The deadline to submit your Expression of Interest has been extended until 26 August. The Advanced Train the Trainer (ATTT) 2025 will be held on 10, 11, and 12 October 2025 at IIIT-Hyderabad. Wikimedians from India will be a part of the event.

ATTT is designed for experienced Wikimedians, particularly those who have previously participated in Train the Trainer. The program aims to develop further their leadership, thematic expertise, and practical application skills. The training will be conducted in two thematic tracks:

• Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling – Learn to measure, analyse, and narrate the impact of Wikimedia initiatives through hands-on labs and peer feedback.
• Project Design: From Learning to Action – Work on a 3-month project with mentoring and planning tools, turning learning into impactful, context-driven initiatives.

• Deadline to apply (extended): 26 August 2025
• Event Dates: 10-12 October 2025

Note: If you are unsure about which track to choose, please still submit your application by answering the questions thoroughly. Our team will review it and assign you to the most suitable track. If you are not comfortable applying directly on Meta, you may send your proposal (using the Meta template and with a valid reason) to nitesh@research.iiit.ac.in. If selected, the OKI team will publish it on Meta on your behalf.

Request for an interview under TTT evaluation

Hello, I am writing to request an interview with you. As part of the Train The Trainer impact evaluation, we are interviewing individuals who have been associated with the program in the past as participants. Your expereince of the program, observations, and feedback will be quite helpful in this research.

Hardware Donation Program

We are reaching out as you are a current applicant to the Hardware donation program. We at Wiki Project Med Foundation are taking over managing this effort and have through partners acquired 20 used laptops for distribution at Wikimania in Paris.

Can you please update your application and indicate any work you have done with respect to healthcare. Also please indicate if you or someone you know can pick up the laptop, if awarded, at Wikimania. Once completed move your application under the heading Hardware_donation_program#Updated_as_of_May_1st_2026. You have until Jun 1st to make these updates after which you can reapply.

Thank you so much writing to me. I will surely update my application including the healthcare work.

• Actually I have contributed around 25 medical/health related article translations directly from English Wikipedia also, when I do not find some topics in your list. I updated health content to several stub level articles in Telugu Wikipedia. (Link - https://mdwiki.org/wiki/User:Vjsuseela). This year I am planning to translate maximum listed articles into Telugu.
• I have not applied for Wikimania 2026, but if Laptop is awarded in the conference, I can request someone from India to collect it for me. Hope they would oblige to do this for me.
