(Hello. Reaching out to you as you're among the "tech ambassadors" for this language. We'd really appreciate your help this week, and also you spreading the word to other experienced editors willing to lend a hand!)

arwiki abusefilter

Hello, just noticed AbuseFilter parser error for filter 91: Unrecognized variable basepagename at character 361 while browsing LogStash. Seems to be a local error. Can you have a look, please? Sorry to hear you're under stress! --Martin Urbanec (talk) 22:46, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Affects also 130 AbuseFilter parser error for filter 130: Unrecognized variable basepagename at character 256. and 122 AbuseFilter parser error for filter 122: Unrecognized variable basepagename at character 308.. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 22:49, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Martin Urbanec: Alaa just ping me to reply. I'm abuse filter editor in arwiki. And I think I can help. The problem is that when I check the filters for errors, it results no errors. And it says that the filter works 100%. Can you tell me where did you find the error log of the filters (URL maybe)?. About basepagename, this a variable created to get the page title of user page like this (user:ASammour/test -> ASammour). This variable is very important for many filters to detect mass vandalism happen in arwiki from time to time. Best.--ASammour (talk) 16:52, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply. This message was from LogStash, which is an interface that allows authorized users to view logs from Wikimedia wikis. I can give you a link, but you won't be able to access it anyway. If the filter works (tried that, seems it does), it's probably caused by something else. Thanks for your time. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 17:32, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Martin Urbanec: Do you mind giving you permanent Abusefilter editor permission on arwiki? --Alaa :)..! 20:09, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello, in case the community wants me to help them with abusefilters or would otherwise benefit from me having the permissions, then yes, I'll be more than happy to help (just ping me when you'd need anything AF-related). I don't really need the permission, it turned out to be a bug in AF extension (see phab:T214674). --Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:12, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
