Sign language[edit]

Hi, is there a page where I can find more information about you project on sign language and your activities aimed to deaf or hard of hearing people? - Laurentius (talk) 08:54, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Laurentius: I'm sorry for responding so late. For the project on sign language we have a small page on Meta (but in french). However you can discover the first 100 video recently uploaded on Commons here. I also have a more detailed document that I can send you by mail but it is also in French. Today, we are looking for some funds in order to develop a web extension using this videos to facilitate reading of Wikipedia articles. --Rémy WMFr (talk) 16:53, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

GLAM partnership followup[edit]

I'm glad to read you'll work on the «introduction of success and failure criteria and a standardised feedback system to ensure improved use of results». In "proprietary" countries like France and Italy, many entities end up being "free riders" of the Wikimedia projects, so it takes a lot of discipline to use our limited resources where they can bring a real benefit. Wikimedia Italia has also experimented with setting some semi-standard result requirements before even starting a partnership, e.g. agree beforehand on a minimum quantity of content to be released. This had a mixed success though. --Nemo 09:29, 1 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Nemo bis: Thank you for your comment. Maybe it could be interesting to share your analysis with our GLAM manager in Wikimedia France Xavier WMFr. With the precious help of Alexis WMFr, they just finished designing the GLAM strategy of WMFr. Rémy WMFr (talk) 17:00, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Marta may be interested in following up. --Nemo 07:23, 14 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
