Comments from SGill (WMF)[edit]

Hi @Acagastya: Thanks a lot for creating this interesting idea. I have a couple of questions for you:

  • Have you identified a potential radio station to partner with?
  • Do you think Kannada Wikipedia has quality articles about singers or songs that you plan to talk about during this project?
  • When are you planning to implement this idea?

@SGill (WMF): Yes, I have identified which radio station to consider, however I am not the best person to comment about the songs/singer's articles on Kannada Wikipedia; and yes, I had considered about the quality articles, and thought weather the idea should be implemented for Hindi radio stations in Bangalore (I have identified the Hindi radio stations in Bangalore as well). Regardless of the language project, I would have to contact active editors of respective projects for the information about quality articles, and request them for improving/creating articles. I intent to implement it not before June, since the articles are to be improved before they start sharing facts. I had discussed the idea in a vague way with User:Wikilover90 in TTT 2018, as well as with User:Lahariyaniyathi (who would have better idea about Kannada Wikipedia) about it, off-wiki. I would have to discuss with more editors to consider Hindi, or to go for Kannada after a few months after improving the articles.

In order to help develop your idea further, we want to ask you to respond to the following questions here on the discussion page. Please refer to this document, which contains examples and resources to help you answer these questions:

1. Describe one or two versions of this idea that are smaller than your initial one.
2. List three assumptions about your project and why you think those assumptions are true (see the document for some examples).
3. List three skills or resources you don’t have, that you need for this project to succeed.
4. How can you determine if your project is successful?

Please contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 04:34, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
