I enthusiastically endorse this proposal to empower and guide Wikimedian editors in Kano State. The project addresses critical issues, such as awareness, training, and engagement challenges for editors in the region, aiming to create a supportive environment for effective contributions. The strategies in the proposal, covering outreach, training, content creation, community building, and recognition, are well-structured and likely to enrich Kano State's representation on Wikimedia. This project aligns with Movement Strategy 2030, focusing on user experience and addressing knowledge inequity. The committed volunteer team's engagement and inclusivity efforts are commendable. I look forward to its impact on Wikimedia content in Kano State and beyond, making it a model for other communities. This proposal offers research and learning opportunities, and I wholeheartedly endorse it for its potential to benefit the Wikimedia community.

Hello @A Sulaiman Z thank you for applying for the rapid fund grant. We reviewed your grant application and decided to not fund your application at this time. This project plan is already being reviewed by the Wikimedia Nigeria User group (as seen here) and this is a more appropriate pathway to receive to support that you need. We encourage the team to continue requesting support locally as it is likely to be more efficient and comprehensive.
