Blocking edits by IP (v4) address is not the way to go

One specific IPv4 address is regularly used by thousands of users. Please refer, e. g. to the article on DS Lite, explaining how (and why), average private customers share one IP adress to the outside.
Siminar considerations apply to users connecting from within private NAT networks, like company or univerity networks.
So, in a nutshell, IP based blocking logic does not work, at least definitely not by IPv4 addresses. Also, IP based attack detection appears pretty speculative, as the collective usage profile of thousands of indivduals should be hard to distinguish from an attacker or a crawler gone wild. where report issue for visual editing cite button and tolerance for issue reporting

Try another source or create one manually. what is the appropriate place to report issues and do they tolerate level for filing legitimate issues without checking for existing issues. Cant verify Email address
[edit]I'm trying to verify my email address however when I click the link it always brings me to a page that says "Invalid confirmation code. The code may have expired". I'm clicking on the link as soon as it is in my inbox so I don't know why it would say this. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way to fix it? Dtosic04 (talk) 17:09, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
