Explain your plan[edit]

Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

  • I request this support on behalf of the Wikipedia club in my college, VVIT WikiConnect. We've organized several outreach activities including edit-a-thons, photo-walks etc. We are a group of around twenty editors contributing to various Wikimedia projects. We plan to do more outreach activities in the coming academic year as proposed at: Grants:Project/Rapid/VVIT WikiConnect/Annual Plan (2018–2019). We're now using our personal laptops for outreach activities & weekly/bi-weekly meetups. Having a laptop for the group will make the maintenance more easier, help us to performing more efficiently.
  • We also intend to share this among the students, who are active on Wikimedia projects, and are in need of hardware support.

Affected projects[edit]

Add the existing Wikimedia projects (Wikipedia, Commons, etc.) and language versions that you seek to impact with this equipment.

  • Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, MediaWiki

Work you're proud of[edit]
