Hello, I would like to have access to help publishing translations. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 06:37, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- As far as I know, translations are published even if someone does not set them to "Published" state (except for CN banners). The whole thing is a bit confusing as there is no visible difference in the translatable pages even when they are in different states. Do you really have a need for this permission? --Glaisher (talk) 15:59, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, I wanted to publish CN banners, which I asked many times from people at IRC to publish them after they're being translated. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 16:18, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- FWIW, I can confirm there have indeed been IRC requests by Mjbmr of that kind. No comment on whether I think that is a sufficient rationale for granting TA. Vogone (talk) 17:01, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Can translation admins even do that? I thought you had to be able to edit the MediaWiki namespace, i.e. be a CN admin or normal admin. PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:10, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Most likely that is the case. Vogone (talk) 17:32, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- You can't publish CN banner translations with translationadmin only (at least, that's what I think). --Glaisher (talk) 17:49, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you, I moved Meta:Requests for translation adminship/Mjbmr to Meta:Requests for adminship/Mjbmr. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 19:37, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Again... Still wrong place, please read Meta:Central notice administrators. The Central Notice Administrator permission was added as a way to avoid granting the full administrator rights package to those who primarily only need to edit banner campaigns. Because of the potentially huge impact of banners on the wikis, this should be granted carefully and sparingly.. I think you want CN admins not Full Regular admin bit, other than this, Temporary Adminship is might be better since your scope are too narrow, regards.--AldNonymousBicara? 09:22, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- These two have centralnotice-admin and editinterface, except sysop has more rights. I would like to help on ther fields while I'm active and having same access on other projects, I request adminiship. I currently hold adminship in fawikinews and fawikivoyage. I've five years experience in MediaWiki (syntax, templates, parser functions, AbuseFilter, etc), JavaScript, stylesheets and two years of programming in Lua languages. I also have done plenty of jobs to prevent spams. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 10:56, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- Special:diff/11296343 Sadly per your comment "I want more because I am here" are not good enough for me, so I had to Oppose this request, rights are not given that lightly, and User should only need rights they will use, not only that, from my observation you also have a bad temper when communicating with other people, which IMO is bad for meta administrator, since meta is a hub for all Wikimedia projects, again I am sorry I have to oppose your request, I might support your request if you change it into Temporary Adminship or CN Admin, but not regular admin.--AldNonymousBicara? 11:11, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- I never said "I want more because I am here", it's more meant "I want to help because I am here", besides if my help was required here, you wouldn't opposing my request, I don't blame this on you. thanks anyways. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 11:22, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you explain your indefinite block on fa.wp? Courcelles 15:43, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- I can't tell about it on wiki, check if you can view Special:Diff/10794115, but that's definitely a personal block, as I said I'm admin in two other projects that means I'm trustable by a group of people. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 16:09, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- (As a 'crat and admin in fa.wp) This user is blocked in Persian Wikipedia due to libel and calling a prominent user, Iranian government agent besides of trolling and other disruptive edits, see Arash's comment for more information and another thing: The block is made since it was consensus between admins and it wasn't made by just a user Amir (talk) 06:25, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- This user has been blocked indefinitely in persian wikipedia and he was blocked for 3 years in meta because this user created a impersonator account to de-sysop someone else and used toolserver as proxy to hide his real IP and not to catch in CU. He is a hat collector and just in this month he requested for Global IP block exempt and adminship on Meta [1], reviewer on enwiki [2], autopatrol on wikidata [3], sysop on fa.wikivoyage [4] and ... He has just got administration right on two nearly inactive small wikis. -- ARASH PT talk 02:45, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Ladsgroup: As I said, I don't want to talk about it on wiki, I gave my reasons here, even that account was not related to me there must be a log here in meta, see here, my opinion is he used a reason to check user me, I told what happened when I got blocked here, Arash.pt: that's harassment, please read what essay not to meant for, you can't just call people from what you read from essays, besides hat collector is called for users who only wants access without doing a job, not any users, btw my sysop in fawikivoyage wasn't by my own request, I personally never requested adminship in projects other than fawikinews. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 07:43, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Ombudsmen committee had confirmed that he hadn't check user you, Why are you keep telling lies? Amir (talk) 08:30, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- Where? give me a link, what is this then? who checked my IPs? I'm not sure if you asked Huji or not the user who was invlolved to impersonator block, he actually blocked my account by Mardetanha's request, btw he being a member of ombudsman commission is against what he said here, besides that's what they wanted to know, I didn't want to tell about it on wiki, whatever was done, is done, now you keep bringing back them, this routine conversation is not new to me. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 09:27, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- If you are not created that impersonator account, then what you are sorry for? Could you please explain--Shanmugamp7 (talk) 10:48, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Would you believed me if I told I wasn't that impersonator? Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 11:00, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- So why are you asking us to believe you now?--Shanmugamp7 (talk) 11:05, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose - While thinking of the past story, the former meta block, the standing block on fawp, and also what I see on the suppressed diff link given by Mjbmr above, I don't think I can trust that user with admin rights on this wiki at any time. -Barras talk 11:13, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Ladsgroup: That was another excuse I could make, he said on IRC the only way he can unblock me is apologizing him and telling every body what I said was a lie, but I didn't know he won't unblock me. Barras: I don't except you supporting my help here, you were the one covering him. The oversighted diff link was what I said what happened what wasn't suppose to happened I didn't mentioned anything directly and they blocked me, I never called anybody anything, there must be any way to see that diff link. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 11:53, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- That unblock request goes back to 2011, I honestly didn't even remember that I declined it. However, "I want to edit meta" is seriously no reason to unblock, otherwise we'd unblock all vandals etc for the same reason (note: I don't compare you with a vandal or whatever, so don't get me wrong.) -Barras talk 12:08, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose Right now, I can't trust this user with sysop tools at Meta-Wiki due to the concerns by other users. --Glaisher (talk) 16:04, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Not yet and per Glaisher. Eurodyne (talk) 04:45, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose --Uğurkenttalk 12:28, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm surprised how people paying less attention to RfC than RfA, like this or like this and changing their mind on opinions of a man in power like this, I hope you guys who voted, read above conversations entirely, peace out. Mjbmr (discussion • contribs) 21:18, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- The topic right now is your RfA, not RfC, why can't you stay on the topic? --AldNonymousBicara? 22:31, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Not trustworthy. Immature and lying. --Atcovi (talk) 15:06, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Temperament and lack of communication skills fundamentally incompatible with adminship. --Rschen7754 22:06, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
