Hi, I propose myself as Meta administrator.
- I am a long term patroller here and I frequently encounter pages needing deletion and vandals here while checking RecentChanges and I would like to help out dealing with them.
- Most of my activity here are reverting disruptive edits and spam or translating.
- I'm a global rollbacker and involved in cross-wiki patrolling with rights on a few wikis other than Meta and my home. I'm a fairly recent sysop on Wiktionary as well.
Thus, I believe having admin tools will be helpful. Thanks for considering, kindly let me know if any concerns! – Svārtava (tɕ) 12:53, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support Can be trusted --Ameisenigel (talk) 13:18, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support seems reasonable to me. Ternera (talk) 14:19, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Support of course. ToadetteEdit (talk) 19:37, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- I am not convinced of the so called "rapid fire collecting of privileged rights in a short period of time" described immediately below this comment. If the user is competent enough to have the tools, they can request so. I do not see any issues since the enwikt adminship was achieved and the GREN request will eventually succeed. We should generally not bring up other requests; the user has shown a demonstrated need for the tools. Therefore, I am reconfirming my support vote. ToadetteEdit (talk) 10:34, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose I fear that this request might be a tad too soon. It was only in mid November that you became an enwiktionary sysop and you have a GRN request up and running right now. I definitely wouldn't have any issues supporting otherwise and would have supported if you had perhaps made this request in, say, March or April, but having 3 advanced permission requests running within 45 days of each other does leave a bad taste on me. --SHB2000 (t • c) 23:51, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Fair point. I requested because I think from my contributions, I do have utility for the tools, if any of my actions using my permissions concern you, you can bring it up and I'll try to reply as best as I can. – Svārtava (tɕ) 05:21, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- It's not any of your actions, but the rate you're requesting perms, which is way too fast. --SHB2000 (t • c) 08:14, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, I understand the concern against this vote that I am a recent admin.
- But I honestly feel the GRN request should not make a difference for this request because that is unrelated. Requesting multiple rights at once can be interpreted as badge collecting, but I am confident that it can be seen that I have sufficient usage for both the rights for which the requests are running at the moment. – Svārtava (tɕ) 11:06, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- From my perspective people who attempt to get multiple advanced permissions (which can be either local or global) have less time to familiarize with their "first" permissions. Therefore they make more rookie mistakes and tend to be too fast regarding actions. (you may be different, but thats what I have seen before)
- I don't say that you're not sysop or GRN material but waiting at least two months or more between each request is reasonable and imo really important. Starting three requests in (less than) two months is nothing I can support though. TenWhile6 11:10, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Well you could also make the argument that even something like GR would be unrelated using your rationale. GRN is still an advanced perm. Both will have initial hurdles once you obtain them – that's why it's also seen as bad practice to obtain multiple advanced perms so close to each other. --SHB2000 (t • c) 11:13, 24 December 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose per SHB2000. local sysop mid november, now GRN and meta-sysop. Obviously way too fast. --TenWhile6 08:55, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per SHB2000. –TANBIRUZZAMAN (💬) 10:56, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. Hat collecting problems. Sorry, but since Meta adminship also brings numerous technicalities like managing global edit filters, I'm afraid you're not experienced enough to be a Meta sysop after a month of active adminship. Would support a RRfa in the future, but for now, you have my moral support.--A09|(pogovor) 12:56, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
