[edit]Reply to Special:Diff/29750004
[edit]Hello there. I wasn't able to reply to that before the comments are removed. But I believe there is a misunderstanding. On Wiktionary, redirects are not normally used between lowercase and uppercase letter, as in some of the languages, the meaning would change. See wikt:Wiktionary:Redirections. The deletion is therefore requested. I understand that it might not be in the scope of GS to speedily delete it. Do you think I should start a local discussion first? As there are no local administrators right now on wikt:yue:. Sun8908 (talk) 23:59, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Sun8908, yeah. I think it will be a good idea to start a local discussion. After a short time you can ask a Global sysop/Steward in SRM to close the discussion as there are no local sysop. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 08:28, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. I have started a local discussion. Sun8908 (talk) 11:24, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
The page has already been listed at the local RfD. It should have been left to its course. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 18:44, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- @NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh, thanks, I've left a note to the discussion. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 18:55, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Stewards Clerks
[edit]Hello Tanbiruzzaman, thank you for volunteers for the stewards clerks team. Please complete the ANPDP agreement so that your onboarding may occur. Best regards, — xaosflux Talk 18:22, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
GSR
[edit]I am sorry for making this request, I didn't realise that the user didn't create the page. Please accept my apologies for the oversight. PieWriter (talk) 12:55, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hey! Nothing to worry. Thanks for volunteering. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 14:25, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
According to Special:WikiSets/7, cuwiki is a GS wiki. Could you take a look, please? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 00:15, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- @NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh, Thanks for noticing. cuwiki is already known as gswiki in bot code. But the false positive like that one rarely happens because of the link after main request [[:en:w:WP:NOTWEBHOST|WP:NOTWEBHOST]]. I can only suggest that any link after main request should be like this [[en:w:WP:NOTWEBHOST|WP:NOTWEBHOST]] (without the leading colon ‘:’), so that the error doesn’t happen in future. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 06:26, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Vote
[edit]Hey Tanbiruzzaman, I'm currently voting on Steward confirmations and wondered if you have a rationale for your vote here, as it would help to inform my own decision. Toadspike [Talk] 10:20, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Toadspike I am guessing it’s something relating to Requests for comment/Control of Bengali Wikipedia by organized groups? I might be totally wrong. PieWriter (talk) 10:29, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, slightly related to this rfc, also their decision making is very poor. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 10:47, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- I understand that not all communities have similar norms around en:WP:Aspersions, but where I come from we require evidence to back up accusations. Norms aside, it's hard for me to believe statements like "their decision making is very poor" when they are accompanied by zero evidence. Toadspike [Talk] 20:18, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah, slightly related to this rfc, also their decision making is very poor. 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 10:47, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
New tool
[edit]Hi Tanbiruzzaman, you should now have access to the expanded Special:IPInfo tool. This can be used to grab SPUR info on arbitrary IP's - may be helpful when working VRT proxy tickets. — xaosflux Talk 16:30, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
AWP to my knowledge is a GS wiki, do you mind checking what happened here with GSRbot? Tenshi! (Talk page) 20:27, 28 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Tenshi Hinanawi, oops I forgot to add the code there, thanks for noticing. Whenever something like that happens, please revert it and add (no bot) at the beginning, lik this

Reminder: global rename policy requirement
[edit]You are receiving this message because you are either a Steward or a global renamer. If you are steward and don't perform global rename, you can safely ignore this message.
For the first 24 hours after a rename or vanishing request has been placed, it should only be processed by a renamer who has sufficient proficiency in the language of the requester's home or most active wiki, and is active on that wiki.
Refer to the 2025 RFC adding this rule, and following global-renamers mailing list emails: 1, 2, 3. Thank you.

[edit]Hello User:Tanbiruzzaman,
I’m sharing a small Toolforge project that might be relevant as you work with user scripts and gadgets regularly.
WikiScriptSync helps track changes to .js and .css files hosted on GitHub or GitLab and sends a notification when updates are detected. It does not make any edits on-wiki, it only helps you stay aware of changes, and stay updated with the latest version.
- Tool: WikiScriptSync
- Docs: Wikitech
We encourage you to try it, and share your feedback or suggestions.
Regards, Dev Jadiya (talk) 09:55, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
