I am currently working on improving the Events calendar, and in particular, I would like to move related scripts to gadgets "namespace". Since the changes (including localization) will take some time, then I think that interface administrator flag is the best option for this.

Hello. I am perhaps not understandig you well, and if so please accept my apologies in advance. You mentioned above that you would like to move related scripts to the Gadgets namespace. Do you mean the Gadget/Gadget_definition namespace?. I ask because nobody is able to edit those namespaces (i.e. no local group has the gadget-edit/gadget-definition-edit permissions) and as far as I remember from a chat with Krinkle, this is intentional as those NS shouldn't be used (yet). Weak support I'd prefer to have seen many edit-requests for a non-admin asking for this, but due to experience on other projects I'm at least slightly supportive - do caution that adding default gadgets should not be done without a community discussion and using this access for other non-opt-in areas should only be done with extreme care. — xaosflux ^Talk 15:24, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
