Links: are we writing our blogs so that anybody can reach them?
How should someone reach our blogs? From the WMF sites footer, one can reach wmf:, then on the sidebar one can click "Wikimedia blog", then one can scroll three pages down and on the blogroll find planet wikimedia... techblog is not included, maybe we should add it to the Wikimedia blog. And Planet Wikimedia should link Wikimedia blog and techblog in a visible manner. And perhaps our sites should link Wikimedia blog on the sidebar, if we want a chance that people know that Wikimedia exists and is doing something... --Nemo 01:16, 3 August 2009 (UTC) P.s.: Thoughts inspired by this Anthere speech.
Planet landing page
Seems it just have a only "Redirecting to Meta.." text on the http://planet.wikimedia.org/ page. I think it is suggested to making a new landing page for the planet, which is similar to the http://gmq.planet.wikimedia.org/. As more languages of planet had been added, I think the landing page is necessary. For the order of the display, I think it can be weighted by number of bloggers and number of posts in a specified period (have a maximum limit depends on the local planet settings), for example 7 days. Also the Wikimedia techblog link can also included on this landing page too. Shinjiman 18:21, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

- Hey LA2, I'm not sure what's happening there because they should certainly be updated and I'm not seeing anything obvious :-/ It does look like we've fixed it on our new version though which we're very close to pushing out full live. That link is already on a production server and we'll be changing the DNS for the primary urls to it at some point early this week. If for some reason we have to push that back I'll dig through with Daniel to figure it out so that we can get the old sv working in the mean while. Jamesofur (talk) 23:21, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
