2023 prioritization[edit]

Hello! some months have gone and we are near to start thinking about the 2024 Wishlist. As no new wish from the past has been completed, I would like to ask if there's a 2023 prioritization, so we can see what are the wishes that has been chosen. Is it possible to see something like Community Wishlist Survey/Prioritization? Theklan (talk) 21:05, 6 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello @Theklan, the response to your questions depends on discussions that haven't been concluded yet. I will provide an update asap. –– STei (WMF) (talk) 12:43, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks! Theklan (talk) 09:53, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Do we have any clue on this? September has started, we are near the next wishlist survey, and we don't know about priorities. This is relevant, as we need to discuss how the process work before the next process starts. Theklan (talk) 21:17, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As we are approaching December, it would be nice to know if the prioritization process has happen. Theklan (talk) 09:12, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Current status[edit]

Dear all. Some months ago we discussed about the Wishlists process and how the projects were voted but never done. I made a list of all the projects from 2022 that were voted but not done (or in progress) but I made a mistake. One of the projects (Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Generate Audio for IPA) was marked as in development but that's not true. So I want to update the list so we can see how it is going:

Projects Project status

2022

Better diff handling of paragraph splits
  In development
Notifications for user page edits
  Done
Real Time Preview for Wikitext
  Done
partially, only for limited use
Tool that reviews new uploads for potential copyright violations
  Not done
Improve SVG rendering
  Not done
Allow filtering of WhatLinksHere to remove links from templates
  Not done
Automatic duplicate citation finder
  Not done
Select preview image
  Not done
Generate Audio for IPA

Enhanced Move Logs

I hope that six months before the next year Community Wishlist Survey starts we can discuss about the state of the wishes. Sincerely. Theklan (talk) 21:53, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Revert edits and warn vandals from recent changes[edit]

@KSiebert (WMF): I see you've marked Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Admins and patrollers/Revert edits and warn vandals from recent changes as "Done on mobile apps", but the wish has no associated Phab tasks so it's not clear what this is in reference to. Are you saying the wish was fulfilled on apps recently, or was it possible on apps since before the survey? Are there not related tasks? Nardog (talk) 14:49, 8 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey yes, so the Android team has let me know that the implemented the wish on mobile while working on EditPatrol which got me quite excited. Really it's only release to to Indonesian Wikipedia users on the Beta app of Wikipedia, but it should only be a matter of time to move to bigger wikis. Does that help? Thanks, but I'm having a hard time understanding how that relates to the wish in question. The wish was specifically about "being able to fight vandalism without leaving the page you are on". That is not something that would be particularly useful on mobile (as even tiny prompts should fill the screen), and screenshots on Phab do not show any feature focused on warning users without leaving RecentChanges. Not only does it not seem it's "done on mobile apps", it probably shouldn't be. Nardog (talk) 06:02, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
