the os wiki

[edit]

If it wouldn't be for the empty dates, the os wiki wouldn't have more that 204 articles making it a fifth less articles that what it has now. When i see that just like Bengali and the other bearing the no actual content I am thus putting the no actual content on that page too as I was doing the updates and nobody complained till you came this mention of content was ok. Even if you want your wikipedia to be as full as the other ones, make sure that it is not an empty one but that it has some content thus removing the comment in parenthesis. Thank you. 24.201.116.26 19:41, 27 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

There are no date articles there yet, though the stubs for years 1300-2010 are really there (not all of them empty). As I calculate the number of articles manually (statistics malfunctions) I do substract several hundreds from the actual number of articles considering the newer stubs for years and similar.
Still you can't say that the whole Wikipedia has no actual content, for there are more than 200 real articles, dozens of which are really good. --Slavik IVANOV 00:14, 29 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
I agree with you on the last info you give so you would actually put that your wikipedia has 200 articles rather that 1000 as it shows, the no actual mention shows that there are info on this page but it is rather sparsed and before people get to this page. The main page (www.wikipedia.org) doesn't show any mention about the content or anything like that and it is shown having 1000 articles. When the percentage of non-stub articles will go higher, the mention will be removed as you wish it will be. 24.201.116.26 01:42, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
You are absolutely not right in your crusade against the stubs in os:! Most wikipedias have stub-articles about years — say, uk: or fy: have lots of them (see uk:900, uk:901, etc.) — still nobody would change the number of their articles in the language list. The Os.wiki cannot be called guilty for early acquiring the bot use. - Slavik IVANOV 07:06, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

Здравствуйте, коллегa

Victoria (talk) 06:25, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Updates from Capacity Exchange (CapX)!

[edit]

Hello Amikeco,

My name is Joris Darlington Quarshie, and I am an Outreach Facilitator for the Capacity Exchange (CapX) — a platform for finding and connecting with peers to exchange knowledge and skills on a global level.

CapX is a community-built tool, designed by and for the Wikimedia Movement, to make it easier for Wikimedians across the world to find and connect, collaborate, and exchange skills and knowledge with peers.

If you don't know it yet, I invite you to access capx.toolforge.org and create your user profile with your Wikimedia account. But, if you already have a profile, I invite you to check out the new features and possibilities we just launched. I am sure you will be delighted.

CapX's new version incorporates valuable community feedback gathered over the past months, including the Organization Profile - a feature for Wikimedia affiliates, initiatives, or community groups to create their own CapX presence (see here how to create yours).
