Thanks for helping in archiving those pages :) but please remember that requests for temporary adminship, etc. are not directly archived on the normal archive pages but on the holding pen so that we can process them when expired.   1. Eu assinei, não foi? Estou interessado na constituição de um chapter e me interesso pela proposta. Não quero criar briga e muito menos desmoralizar a proposta. Pelo contrário, quero evitar uma visão míope da mesma, que seria certamente contestada. Todos pleiteam um processo mais participativo, e essa sua insistência significa querer começar "com o pé esquerdo". Qual o problema com a participação dos demais interessados? Ou essa lista de participantes é "pro-forma"?
  2. O estatuto que você quer inserir corresponde a uma realidade completamente diferente. Estar na mesma língua não o torna mais semelhante. O estatuto da Wikimedia Argentina está mais similar à nossa realidade do que o da Wikimedia Portugal.
  3. Estou vendo no histórico que a página foi criada em 2011. Se quer reverter, chegou beem atrasada. Após três anos, com certeza isso não vale coisa alguma, até porque nesses três anos o conteúdo dali era completamente diferente, e foi movido (inclusive por sua solicitação) sem qualquer discussão prévia, como sempre.
  4. Nenhum problema. Qual o problema de usar o da WMAR? Os códigos são mais similares, a realidade cultural é mais similar ainda. Quanto à língua, até onde sei, os chapter são organizações geográficas, e não lingüísticas. Portanto, não existe isso de usar o mesmo projeto. O Brasil pode usar projetos em qualquer língua, não somente o português.

Discussões[edit]

Beh, na prática essas discussões estão ocorrendo em todos os lados, inclusive no Meta-Wiki. Penso que deixá-las na br.wikimedia seria uma tentativa de centralizar as coisas em algum lugar, especialmente por haver uma wiki dedicada ao projeto e ao assunto.

Meio que o Meta-Wiki sendo a vitrine, onde são apresentados aos wikimedianos lusófonos as iniciativas prontas e chamada a participar enquanto aos demais wikimedianos as iniciativas prontas em idioma legível à eles.

Seguindo seu mesmo raciocínio, as wikis menores realizariam suas votações de acesso às flags aqui no Meta-Wiki, não viriam apenas apresentar os resultados. Não sei se consegue pegar minha linha de raciocínio. 555 22:31, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2013 Bidding[edit]

Dear editor,

You are getting this message because you have edited a Wikimania bidding page for 2013.

Many have said that the bidding needs to be brought forward to give teams longer to organise the conference, to enable it to be run more professionally and smoother and to give teams more time to arrange things like sponsorship which can take significant amounts of time. This year an active effort is being made to bring the start of official bidding to before the fundraiser (around September/October, to have a longer bidding period that will run till the end of January and a decision made by the end of February.

Although this clashes with the fundraiser, the significantly longer bidding period is to give those teams from chapters involved in the fundraiser more time. It should hopefully allow teams to create better and more detailed bids. Going forward the idea would be that eventually the bidding would occur entirely before the fundraiser. I though it best to not jump immediately to this to not catch teams off guard.

Just to recap: Bidding will start in September/October and not in January

Any thoughts and comments on this would be greatly appreciated.

Greeting users without edits[edit]

Hey, can you tell me what's the point of this? I never edited am.wikipedia before so it's rather annoying and pointless to be greeted there. I haven't made a single edit in most Wikipedia projects, will I be greeted there too? How about Wikisources or Wiktionary? Please change the bot so it would only greet those that did contribute to the project before.Plushy 09:28, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, ditto for me. And I can't read Amharic, despite my work on articles related to Ethiopia. I only knew I had an account there because an email I received which I can't read. Não sei se meu comentario na discussão do seu pedido ajudou em algo pra abrir os olhos dos gringos ali, dar 'quorum' pró eleição, e mostrar que essa coisa toda é simplesmente o nefasto ad hominem, que destrói a Wiki-pt e está sendo trazido pra cá; de qualquer maneira, juízo com esse troço aí na mão, já que vcs adoram esses poderes virtuais mixurucas.
