cjk sorting
[edit]Wow! I got online this morning and saw my watchlist and all of the sorting you did! Good to see someone is helping out Aphaia. Thanks! :-) Cbrown1023 talk 15:18, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- No problem ;-) I have a will to support WMF, but it's not easy to me to follow discussions or say something even if I have a interest in them. So I used to help people who needs me. When I chatted with Aphaia, I asked to sorted them, therefore I did :-) Kzhr 16:30, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Translation Update
[edit]I want to thank you for your help translating throughout this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà appeals need to be translated, as we are running appeals from editors. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. It is important to check the Core Messages as many languages still need updating. Also if you haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Many thanks for your help in truly making this a global fundraiser that you can edit.Klyman 19:42, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Translator, We need you!
[edit]Dear Kzhr,
You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.
Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.
If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.
Many Thanks

A barnstar for you!
[edit]Hi! I just want to thank you and give you this barnstar for your help with the translation of the 2011 fundraiser! The fundraiser was the best we ever had, both in terms of the amount we collected and in terms of number of translations. We couldn't have done either one without the help we got from you and other translators. If you are interested, we made a report, which has some statistics about the translations.
And: I have one more request, and that is that you take this survey. You may have got an e-mail about it, and if you did, please ignore this. But if you didn't it would be great if you would take this survey too, so we can learn to improve the translation experience.
Again, thanks for your help with translations – you're awesome! Jon Harald Søby (WMF) 13:31, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
English/Japanese translations
[edit]Dear Kzhr,
I am contacting you to introduce myself. My name is Jessica Robell and I have recently joined the Wikimedia Foundation as a part of the fundraising team. My work will be focused to a large extent around translations. I am very interested in finding engaged Wikipedians, such as yourself, who would be interested in contributing with their time to translate shorter text from English to Japanese. A warm thank you for your contributions you have made so far! We will continue using the translation extension for this purpose. We have for example recently posted a 'Thank you letter' from the Wikimedia Foundation's ED Sue Gardner using the translation extension. You can find the letter here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Fundraising%2FTranslation%2FThank+you+email+20131202&language=ja&filter=translated&action=translate I would highly appreciate your help to translate/proofread this letter in order to develop a quality translation in Japanese. In addition to using the translation extension, my aim is to develop a few personal contacts to whom I can reach out with potential questions regarding a particular word choice etc. As an engaged Wikipedia translator, I would be very interested in hearing your view on this.
Thank you very much for your support. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Jessica Robell

[edit]Hi, I was translating the usurpation request from English to Mandarin and was puzzled by the negative connotation of the word Usurpation. Thanks to you, your diction "讓渡” is very accurate and has no negative meanings, I happen to see your translation and was inspired. Althoguh it is in your language, it can be very useful since the proximity of the diction of Mandarin and Japanese. Thank you again. ----損齋 (talk) 23:28, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
- Hi 損齋, I was also puzzled with the term, especially in a case of users to be asked ‘usurped’ lol I think this kind of alternation to a neutral term should be kept minimum, but it appears this is the case. Anyway, I am glad to help you, and love to know that ‘譲渡’ still refers to a same kind of meaning in both Modern Mandarin and Modern Japanese, the term which Japanese learned from your Classical language :-) Thanks, Kzhr (talk) 23:42, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
Yes indeed, although I eventually used the word 轉讓,讓渡 also make perfect sense. The neutralization of usurper is really needed lol. Also It is really nice to learn from each other. Best regards. ----損齋 (talk) 23:48, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
