OTRS

[edit]

Hi, I saw you made these edits. I just checked the system, and neither of these two queues exist. Further, it seems neither A1 nor yourself have access to the OTRS system. May I ask why you made these edits? Daniel (talk) 08:17, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for reverting my edits. I am a newcomer and I misunderstood the purpose of the page. As for the access to the OTRS system - probably I need it as the Wikimedia Ukraine Executive Director. I have found the link to http://otrs-wiki.wikimedia.org/wiki/OTRS_technical_challenges in a message from Internal-l mailing list. --Perohanych 08:31, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
No problems. If you would like, I can set up a queue for "Wikimedia Ukraine" and create accounts for yourself and the President. If you would like this, please send an email to volunteers-otrs@wikimedia.org and include the usernames, real names and emails for the Chapter board members who need accounts to access the "Wikimedia Ukraine" queue. Translation Update

[edit]

I want to thank you for your help translating throughout this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà appeals need to be translated, as we are running appeals from editors. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. It is important to check the Core Messages as many languages still need updating. Also if you haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Many thanks for your help in truly making this a global fundraiser that you can edit.Klyman 20:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Translator, We need you!

[edit]

Dear Perohanych,

You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.

Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.

If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.

Many Thanks

[Wikipedia & Education User Group] Updates: November 2018

[edit]

Greetings,

Integrating Wikimedia with education is a powerful strategy for the outreach of Wikimedia projects. Realising this concept, a group of leaders promoted this and formed the Wikipedia Education Collaborative. After some time, this evolved to become a user group, officially recognised by the Affiliations Committee in June 2018. The user group had its first board elections earlier in September. In the process to formalise activities and give a shape the user group for long-term sustainability, we are now revamping our processes. Thanks for supporting us during incubation stages, we are now inviting you to formally join the user group by following the instructions on the members' page. Being a member will allow you to be a part of this wonderful collaboration and also do interesting stuff.

Kind regards

A Community Wishlist Survey update waiting for translation

[edit]

Hello! Would you be able to translate the newest update about the Community Wishlist Survey 2022? In short: instead of November 2021, the CWS will happen in January 2022. We would also like to make other improvements. We can't do that without having the volunteers' opinions. This is what we ask for in the message.

After the weekend, I'll send this to all Village Pumps, Cafes, Forums, etc. Our team would like as many people as possible not to ignore this message. Let's remove the language barrier.

Thank you! SGrabarczuk (WMF) 01:29, 4 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
