Editor Appeals Need Translations[edit]

I want to thank you for your help translating during this year's fundraiser. The fundraiser has greatly benefited from all your contributions. Currently, the appeals from Wikipedia editors Kartika, Liliaroja, Abbas and Joan Gomà need to be translated and localized. Also some core messages need to be updated for certain languages. You can find all translation requests at the translation hub on meta and you can follow the progress of the fundraiser in real time by tracking the fundraiser statistics. Also for those of you who haven't already, you can subscribe to the translators-l mailing list for all new requests and major changes. Dear Shijualex,

You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.

Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.

Telugu wiktionary[edit]

I would like to thank you for participating Telugu wikipedia web chat. In Telugu wiktionary, we have about 50,000 pages with some links to other languages. The template linking to other language wiktionaries needs your attention. How to get the links from English to Telugu language to these pages already created and can you suggest a new template for us wherein the additions will be done by the already existing bots working in English wiktionary. Malayalam loves Wikimedia 2013[edit]

I saw w:ml:വിക്കിപീഡിയ:മലയാളം വിക്കിമീഡിയയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു-3 and couldn't find more info about it (only 2011 and 2012), is it organised under WMIN umbrella? The logo is a bit weird. --Nemo 10:35, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Was the logo authorised by WMF explicitly or implicitly as part of the 2012 grant? I'd suggest to remove the Wikimedia logo entirely, it looks redundant anyway. (There used to be the Community Logo alternative but WMF stole it.) --Nemo 11:22, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
